very effective. pulls very strong and tight and easier to use than other cheaper back braces. I did go down a size however (waist size 30). The front belt is smaller on the small and easier to wear, although the medium has a wider band which has a bit more size/hip support, it felt too bulky. the small I can adjust well enough. Helps with my sciatica and herniated lower lumbar discs.

I purchased this after a GUARDNER Lumbar Support Back Brace ($120) was down. This is a half price of the GUARDNER, and I am surprised that the product is almost identical with the GUARDNER and works well, even the price is less than half. Only difference between the two is that the materials of the mesh area is slightly firm.

Very adjustable, wrap around waist, secure with provided velcro and then pull on small handle that tighten the back cords until back feels supported and pain is relieved. Can wear under a loose shirt. Son in law had painful muscles spasms after cleaning out garage all day, I put my back support brace on him, fits his larger tummy also and then pulled the handle on the front and he said wow all my pain is gone, he ordered one from Amazon right away for overnight delivery. I recommend for muscle tightness and spams, not a cure. Supports very well and adjustable.

It does work great, just not for long periods. I wore it on a 8 hour fishing trip and the hard plastic in the lower area bruised my back. It was painful for a couple days.

I seldom write reviews. But had to share with you that this is the best back brace I have ever worn. It's comfortable to wear all day long when I plan on having to be actively moving while working. It helps when lifting, keeps everything stable. It's lightweight and not cumbersome like other braces I have worn. I can drive a car with it on too. Just put it on and go! It's adjustable too! Bonus!

This belt is trim looking and gives me great support in the back where I need it most. It has the same type of draw string that my larger brace has that I got from Mayo clinic. I can keep it tight when needed and easily loosen it when relaxing or not needing to use it at the moment. Only takes seconds to cinch it back for support. I liked it so well that I got my granddaughter one because she has back problems and needs it to give her support while sitting in a chair at work.
