Wish they didn't have the silly AI voice changer; always worried I accidentally turned it on. Noise cancelling is pretty good tho. They are quite small so if you want to hold them while you record, that may be tricky. One positive note: I can plug the receiver in to my PC and they work as a mic! these are very good quality microphones, i am not a big fan on the noise cancellation, i dont like any kind of AI noise cancellation, but for my use of the mics, i dont need them anyways. They have extremely good sound quality for being so small, and it is extremely easy to work on your phone.

I was very surprised by the quality of this BOYA microphone; it is compact and very easy to use. The connection is quick, and I had no trouble setting it up. The sound is clear and sounds quite professional, even in spaces with some background noise. Plus, the case is handy for storing and transporting it without risk of damage. Update to 4 stars 10/31/2025: I reached out to support and they walked me through fixing the issue. I hadn't been able to find the solution myself, and their re-pairing steps worked perfectly! I'm so thankful because I love these little mics. Still 4 stars because why are they unpairing to begin with and why isn't this in the little manual. Pro: great sound for a teeny tiny mic. Almost invisible aesthetic. Super easy pairing, super simple to operate. Con: one of the mics stopped connecting to the receiver today - three days after my return window closed WHILE I'm a trip specifically to record interviews, and now I only have one working mic. This is a remote location with no where to buy a replacement in time - I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed. Not cool. ... show more

I bought these back in Nov 2025. I only use these mics while on trips. So around 3 or 4 times a year. They've worked great up until our last trip in Italy we just got back from. Looking back at the videos from my S23 ultra (also tried on my Flip 5 and wife's S23 ultra, and same thing), I noticed a "beep" that happens from time to time. Also, on the videos that end up having the "beep" on them, the voices get out of sync throughout the video. When everything works normally, everything is great. Out of all the videos I took using the mics, I'd say about 30% had the "beep". But at this point why would I want to use these mics when there's a chance of the "beep" happening now? It's just not worth the chance to possibly have a messed up video. I've attached a small clip of me testing it out on the plane after noticing it. At around the 11sec mark you'll hear it. These worked WAY better than I expected. Even from 10-15 away. They charge pretty quick and last a while too! We used them for hour long pool matches and they kept a charge the whole time and picked up our voices well. There was some pick up of background noise, but that is to be expected that this price point. They are sleek and super easy to setup, pretty much plug and play into the phone. Just make sure you close your camera, plug them in, and then open the camera. Also!! They plugged right into my MacBook Pro and I could use them in OBS! ... show more

I use these for my pastor for recording. Every time I use for live-streaming they disconnect and I can’t figure that out but I feel that is due to the social media app and not due to the microphone setup. Recording is perfect though! I just record and upload later. Crystal clear and no bad feedback.

I got this mic for NOT vlogging or mostly phone. I got this to dictate speech on my laptop, macbook pro, while I am walking in the room, or doing other things. I could use headsets or similar things, but I do not want anything in my ears, so decided to use a dedicated mic for this purpose. I was not sure if it works with dictation apps on phone, since I do not see any review for laptop use case, all were for vlog with phone. I use also dictate speech over my phone, and it works great. I synced both mic, but generally I use only one with USB receiver. I can not comment on battery life, since I couldn't reach its limit. Another big plus is its charging and carrying case. it is so small, you can carry it in your pocket or simple carry on bag without an issue. ... show more
