  • It’s just perfect!
Color: Gray
I bought this for myself for Father’s Day, and holy cow, it’s just perfect. I have owned B&W headphones, wired and Bluetooth, and they have lasted decades, and this thing is built so well. It sounds stunning with a high-definition source like Apple Music lossless. Alexa works great, and controls everything in my home. It sits in my bedroom and more than fills the room. It’s so nice for listening as we start the day. It goes silent instantly, and very low power about 20 minutes after you say your last command or stop playing music. In fact, my only request is that the lovely LED light went dark sooner, or that you could tell Alexa to turn off the LED. (You can do it in the app, and it does for off itself after 20 minutes.) All-in-all, it’s one of the nicest pieces of audio kit I’ve ever owned, and I can’t recommend it enough. We got the grey, because I figured it would show less dust, but the black looks a little sexier to my eye. I guess I don’t care too much what it looks like. That’s just an extra benefit that it looks so good. What’s amazing is the sound. No distortion at any level. Just clean, well-balanced sound for any music. Right now it’s playing Tony Bennett, just before was the Beatles, and before that was Rush. It handles all of them. ... show more

  • Buzzing piece of junk
Color: Charcoal
I was so excited to receive this wonderful speaker!… Unpacked it, WOW! download the phone app, updated the firmware/software/whateverware and all ready to rock n’ roll and then I get this wonderful ear piercing buzz from the speaker that just wouldn’t go away… reset the speaker several times, did everything I knew to try to fix the problem… What fixed it!.. Packed it up and sent it back to Amazon… Problem solved! Two hours of my life wasted but really want to thank Amazon for allowing me to return it… Just so disappointed as it was such a pretty speaker ... show more

  • Broken Alexa functionality takes this from a 5 star review to a return
Color: Charcoal
I live in an Amazon Prime and iPhone household so was looking for a smart speaker which could move beyond spotty Bluetooth and allow me connect by Airplay and use Alexa voice control to play music. Currently the options satisfying both requirements include this speaker along with multiple offerings from Sonos and Bose. Out of that bunch I chose the Zeppelin based on aesthetics, brand preference, and generally positive reviews. I would be happy with my choice if it were not for one key issue. Alexa will not play music I have purchased digitally from Amazon even if it is also available to stream free via Prime. Sadly when I had posted a question about this up above B&W’s suggestion was that at the current time my best bet was to connect via Bluetooth from another Echo device. I decided to return the Zeppelin for the time being as there are a plethora of other airplay speakers that I can connect an echo dot if I decide to go the Bluetooth route. Until B&W fixes the issue, it may be worth exploring Bose and Sonos options if you just have Alexa built in. We also have a Bose Portable Home Speaker which doesn’t have any problem playing Amazon purchased music by Alexa command. ... show more

  • Awesome sound and form. Only miss Siri
Color: Gray
The speaker is divine. It’s gorgeous to look at, adding to your decoration. The sound is obviously amazing, filling the room with soul-punching bass even with the default profile. We use it 100% with AurPlay 2 which works seamlessly. Always there in the list of devices. The only ‘thing’, for me personally, is that I find myself trying to talk to it as though it was a HomePod. Obviously it doesn’t respond, but despite the sound quality being - for my ear - better than a single HomePod, and marginally better than two paired HomePods (original big ones) I find it frustrating not being able to control it with my voice. For me this device is easily worth the money, but the key is to find its place in your abode. Somewhere the design can shine, the sound can impress, and you won’t find yourself needing it to respond to your voice. Not sure if it has microphones which would enable a software update to implement third-party Siri, but that would make it the ultimate showpiece speaker. Overall, 5 stars and very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Sounds GREAT when it works
Color: Charcoal
I’m really torn on this. When it works it sounds GREAT (I am a fan of B&W speakers). However, it kept dropping from Alexa and my WiFi. A call with B&W support suggested it was my WiFi, however multiple other devices (desktop, printer, laptop, iPad, iPhone, Echo, Echo Studio) work flawlessly. A replacement did exactly the same thing so it was not just a one off bad speaker. Since it does not have any line input then connection to the network is vital for its operation, and having to reset it every couple of days (or sometimes hours) was not good. If the connectivity issues are resolved this would be a great speaker. For now, I’m looking elsewhere. ... show more

  • Not worth the money
Color: Charcoal
Let me begin by saying that I have owned B&W speakers, headphones, and bluetooth speakers so I have a pretty good idea about their sound. I was hoping that the Zeppelin would be a bigger version of the old T7 or a smaller version of the 805 but the clarity is just not there especially in the mid-range. The bass is not bad but the mids and highs are just lacking in clarity. Plus it's a pain to setup. I had to reset it and mess around with the app and I am IT developer. It's probably easier to use if use a streaming service like Spotify. The app was primarily designed for this but if you want to use it as a bluetooth speaker it's more difficult to setup. Since B&W was bought out the sound quality has gone downhill. I won't be buy B&W products anymore. ... show more

  • Excelente Compra
Color: Charcoal
Lo recomiendo A+++ ... show more
