The description of this step ladder says it is lightweight, so I was pleasantly surprised to see how sturdy it is. It is much heavier than I expected it to be, while still light enough to easily carry. The top has a rubber grip cover, making it comfortable to grab onto while climbing. The anti-slip pattern on the steps is also a very nice feature for this senior citizen. The four step ladder is perfect for my cabin that has a sloped ceiling, where my 8 foot ladder is too tall and the smaller step stool I have causes me to over reach when changing the bulb in my ceiling light fixture. The description says that it is easy to open and fold, and I found that it was difficult to know when it was locked into the fully open position. I pushed down on the top, as I do with other step ladders, and thought I had the entire ladder fully open, but when I stepped on the lowest step, it was clear I had not fully extended it. To fully lock it into the open position, I found that I need to push down on both the bottom step (let's call this step one) and the third step to ensure it is fully opened. I also had to pull up on the top step with a little more force than expected to close it.. Perhaps after using it several times it will loosen a bit and be easier to open and close. Overall, this step ladder is much sturdier than any others I have owned and the added safety features are not present on my older step ladders. this ladder is a little different than our other step ladder. this one has four steps. this comes in super handy for those taller ceilings and getting to the gutters by the garage. seems pretty well made and seems like it can handle my weight. i believe its rated up to 800 lbs, something like that. pretty well made, good solid quality materials. a very handy step ladder to have around the house. ... show more

I needed some extra height and this provides it. My previous step stool had plastic feet which slipped (despite being non-slip), so I never felt safe. This one did not slip as I used it to hang a string of lights. I did feel the treads flexing a bit, so I'm not confident about the 800 pound load capacity it claims. It arrived in 1 assembled piece , zero assembly required. Best type of assembly imo . We have extra tall kitchen cabinets . Like 10ft tall cabinets, I’m 5,7 and was having to climb up in the counter to get to the top cabinets . I had my father in laws step ladder like this to use but I knew he needed his back and this one was everything I needed and in the perfect color too . It has great feet , sturdy , no assembly . Folds and unfolds easy AF . It’s a slim flat folding piece of art . The stairs are all textured and all nice big steps . I can reach everything I need to and my kids can reach everything they need to reach in the kitchen . I’m gonna still be able to hide stuff on top of the cabinets and the kids can’t reach it so it’s a perfect height . Tall but not tall enough for my kids to find my hiding places . I just bought a new home and have been bogged down with projects around the house. I have higher ceilings and needed a step ladder that was lightweight and easy to move around the house. This fits the bill perfectly! I like that it has four levels and is high enough for everything I have needed it for. it’s plenty sturdy enough for jobs like painting or hanging a ceiling fan.     • Reliable but not heavy-duty

I got this to supplement some two-step stools I had for when doing near ceiling work like changing lightbulbs or trim painting. The ladder itself is nice and wide (getting high up with a narrow stance is always nerve-wracking) and if I stand on the top step, at 6', I will bonk my head on the ceiling. It folds as flat as possible and is very light, owing to the mostly plastic on tubular metal construction. That being said, it is not a step ladder to use as a workhorse. I am under 200 lbs but I could tell when climbing and moving that it would not tolerate a 200+ pound body plus any gear and doing dynamic movements. Maybe it will support it but you'll be nervous the whole time. Stick to light use and this will serve you well ... show more

This is a super nice step stool for the price point. It is very sturdy and easy to maneuver. To open it, just push the steps out and push down to lock them in place. To close it, just pull up on the handle toward the back of the top step. It folds nice and flat for convenience storage. The steps are a heavy duty plastic with a non-slip tread/texture. The feet are rubber so that it stays put and doesn't slide around. It is easy to clean up if you get a spill on it. It can hold way more weight than a normal sized person. The handle is long, so that you can hold on while on the first couple of steps. If you are looking for a step stool, especially for an elderly person who needs to hold on to something, this is the one! ... show more
