READ CAREFULLY if you're having problems getting this to work with the Audi MMI: First, remove the wireless adapter and set it aside. With the vehicle running or key in accessory position, enter the MMI console and *DISABLE* entirely any/all bluetooth connectivity, remove all paired devices, including the custom name of your vehicle if you changed it, and do a complete reset/factory default via controls. (You can add your contacts back in later.) Turn off the car's main head unit by press and hold on power until only the opening screen appears. Remove the key. Next, enter the routine for pairing on your smartphone. I'm using an iPhoneX for reference. Without any power or accessories on, plug in the wireless unit. Turn the ignition to on and verify the blue light is flashing. On your smartphone, scan for available bluetooth devices - the unit will show up as Tune2Air even though the car's bluetooth is disabled. (Remember, this device is its own bluetooth receiver, independent of the built in automobile interface. At this point, DO NOT enable bluetooth on the MMI console. Go to Source on the console and scroll to the bottom of the list. The name you've given your smartphone should appear (remember, the car's bluetooth is still NOT turned on.) Select this option as your source. This next step is important: You must begin playing music or any stored audio signal (streaming works too if you're set up with YouTubeMusic, etc. ) through your smartphone's speakers. When prompted, enter/accept the default pairing code (0 0 0 0). The Tune2Air option should now appear on your smartphone. Press the Tune2Air tab and the output is engaged through your car's system. That simple. The configuration will be stored and automatically connect when you're in range. At this point, you can enable the bluetooth option through the console and add in your phone to actually...you know...make a phone call. I have read about a lot of people becoming very frustrated with the wirless adapter and just returning them. Don't give up so fast - it does require jumping through a few hoops to get everybody to play nice together, but the rock solid performance and sound quality is worth it. My only suggestion would be a software or firmware upgrade to allow more information to transfer to the display. Presently, it varies depending on the where the metadata is stored and sometimes no title appears. Others include title, album, etc. I am VERY satisfied with this device. Wish the instructions out of the box were a little more clear.

Just got this today for my 2009 Audi A4 Quattro. I have to admit, this has exceeded all expectations. From connectivity to sound quality, it's all above expectations. I will attempt to answer any questions I had before receiving this and the result after: Car: 2009 Audi A4 Quttro Phone: iPhone 6s with 9.3.2 operating system. 1. Will it be hard to connect and stay connected via Bluetooth to the device? Nope! It is literally plug and play. I plugged it in, connected to Tune2Air on my phone and it started playing after syncing my playlists. 2. Does it work with apps too? Yes! This was my biggest concern. So far, it has worked with Pandora, YouTube, Spotify, Waze Navigation, and my favorite is my music app "Hype Machine" which isn't popular at all and it worked! 3. Can I control the songs from steering wheel and center console buttons? Only if playing the music on the phone can I control this. Everything else must be controlled through the phone. It does display the title of the song however, no matter what's playing the sound. This is zero concern to me because it's way better than the alternative. 4. Can I pause things? Again, only through the music on the phone. Everything else it has a hard time pausing and starts to play the music again. 5. Does it sound good? Yes, 100% better than the FM transmitters and other things. It sounds just like Bluetooth audio streaming should sound like. As if my phone was plugged in through the wire. 6. Can I still make phone calls and receive notification sounds? Yes, it has no problem switching from the device to the cars Bluetooth for calls. And no matter what I'm doing I still receive app alerts etc.. Just like any other Bluetooth streaming device. Final Result: I would recommend this product to anyone in the same position who doesn't have Bluetooth streaming. Minus a couple kinks, this product does exactly what it says. Plug n Play and never open your glove box again. I'm very happy with this and glad I've found a product that finally delivers! So happy!

This device works annoyingly well. The positives It works effortlessly. Automatically connects whenever the car is "awake" interior power on from anything - like opening a door. Connects within seconds once the car is on. Sound quality is great. The negatives It connects even when the car is off and overrides other bluetooth devices. I have a bluetooth speaker in my garage I listen to music on my phone when working in there. Anytime I open the car door this device connects and overrides my bluetooth speaker. Even after i disconnect this device on the phone, it reconnects automatically as soon as I turn the music back on. I have to turn bluetooth off on my phone, wait 3-5 minutes without opening a car door for this device to actually shut off, then turn bluetooth back on and reconnect to my bluetooth speaker. It automatically connects whenever the car is on. And defaults to your phone music library vs. spotify. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, except playback on stored media is way louder than Spotify. So my ears get blasted out by the same song every time I turn on the car - defaults to first alphabetically listed song on your phone. I'm getting really sick of hearing the first line of Angle by Aerosmith, like really tired of it. I can't figure out how to turn music off when using the maps app on my phone. It just keeps coming on automatically again and again. So there's no way to just drive without music if I want to also get driving directions through my phone - at least no way i have found. I had a couple instances where I was driving with no music on and got a phone call. Somehow this activated the music and that started playing. Since my car's display is on "phone" I couldn't easily shut off the music without answering the call and tell that person to wait till I stopped the music to talk. In summary - works great for it's core function, but has a few quirks that are annoying, but livable.

I tried the wired Audi AMI adapter. The first one got smashed in the glove box door (I.e., fragile). The second worked initially, but the charging was weak so it would lose charge when I used the phone for navigation (which was all the time). Then it stopped working consistently, I had to constantly disconnect and reconnect the cable to get to to work. After reading the reviews I did not have high hopes for this ViseeO wireless Bluetooth adapter. I thought my fears were confirmed when I tried to connect via Bluetooth, and I could not see the name indicated in the instruction manual. Instead, there was another generic "headphones" that I could connect to. I connected to this "headphones," and since then it has worked perfectly. I can see the names of all my songs and playlist, just like with the wired cable. All the controls on the Audi head unit and steering wheel work. I don't know if there was an update to either the Bluetooth adapter or the iPhone that made this so as compared to those devices in earlier negative reviews. I keep my phone plugged in with a separate 12V lightning cable, so my phone stays charged up. The caveat to my review I have only been using this for one week, but I will give a an update if there are any issues. Otherwise, this provides the Bluetooth functionality that Audi should have built in initially (and everyone else does), but did not. Update (June 27, 2017): I have been using this over two months. It works great! There are two things to note. (1) You might need to raise the volume on your phone. If you have it too low, you'll probably have to crank up the volume on your car audio. (2) Occasionally the phone won't connect. Based on the message from the car's audio display, I thought it was a problem with the Bovee, like I used to have with the wired Audi AMI adapter. It's not. Just restart your iPhone and it should connect and work as normal. This has happened 2-3 times in the past couple of months.

I would probably have given this device a 4/5 or so, but am rating it significantly lower due to poor customer service. First off, the device itself. I had no problems hooking this up to my 2012 Audi A5, it auto-connects to my phone (Droid Turbo 2) every time I power up the car, and has both good sound quality (though I am no audiophile) and is quite loud. It doesn't work with android phones the same way it works with IOS, so you can't see track information, or change the tracks or anything like that from the car itself - I don't hold that against the product as I knew that was the case prior to buying. For clarity's sake, the track forward button and track back button on the steering wheel do appear to work, you just can't see the tracks themselves. The only issue that I have with the product itself is that pressing the pause button on the MMI mutes all of the phone's audio, and turning the audio back up on the MMI stars playback again. This is a problem for two reasons. First, it appears to be impossible to pause the music on the phone itself. The device just tells it to continue playing every time you do. Second, this means that you can't use navigation, or voice commands, or anything else on the phone that requires sound with the music paused. You can only either end the music entirely requiring you to pick up the phone, find something to play, and click play to start it again or do whatever you're doing with the music playing in the background. Ultimately, this isn't the biggest deal ever - I'm not going to return the product, but it would be nice if there was a workaround. This brings me to the 1 star review. All of this would have earned it 4/5, good, but not perfect. However, I got an email from the seller shortly after purchasing saying please give us a 5 star review, if there is any reason that you wouldn't give us a 5 star review just send us an email here and we'd be happy to address it. So, I sent them an email saying that at the moment I'd likely give it a 4/5 star review for the reasons stated above, but if there is any workaround to get the pause button to act as a pause only, not pause and mute I'd happily give them a 5 star review. They did not reply. Then, they sent me the exact same email again requesting a 5 star review days later, still without responding to my email.

I would give it a 4 1/2 star.. it's really good!! I'm one week in, I hope it stays like that. There is one little thing I don't now yet if it bothers me or its actually convenient. Car used: 2017 Audi Q5 only AMI (no MMI) Installation: AMI is in the glovebox, plug cable in, start the car, blue indicator should blink, search Bluetooth on your phone (I have iPhone 6) connect and you are setup. Now if you are on "Media" you will see your iPhone music library. You can use the know to scroll what you are looking for. I switched to Pandora on the phone and streamed very well. (btw.. glove box is closed and in one week trying I didn't have drops or whatsoever). If you press the control button on your Q5, you will see always e.g. pandora song on the display. Now, of course only 1 person can be connected to this bluetooth device. When I enter the car, I'm automatically connected to the ViseeO Bluetooth and Audi Q5 Bluetooth used for phone calls. If somebody calls or you want to make a call, music stops and you answer the call. So far didn't have problems. As said, you enter the car and it connects automatically, meaning if you are on "Media" your Music starts playing without doing anything. As default its your iPhone music library but if I have Pandora active, it started to play Pandora. You can of course switch the music station on your phone, but e.g. I can press stop music.. but it only stops for 2 seconds. To stop the music you have to use the car button and stop the music. That was actually my only "???".. not sure if I like or dislike. E.g. if you have a family and eg. someone else wants to connect (not the driver).. it's possible but e.g. that person cannot stop the music.. can switch and anything else. At the end I think it's a minor tinny thing... Bottom end.. I think this device if it keeps working as it should is simply marvelous!! I step into my car and if I'm on media, it starts playing music and it pretty good quality. No cable clutter. Well done!

I bought this for my 2010 Audi A4 2 years ago for $69. The best way to describe this is that it works. However, it has some frustrating parts: Cons: 1) The support for Android isn't great. It shows "Prev, Prev, Next, Next" instead of song names. 2) Autoplay when starting the car can be annoying and is hard to predict. It will autoplay if you were playing something before and eventually stops autoplaying after enough trips of no music (then starts up again when you play something) 3) Pausing is only possible through muting. Pausing spotify/youtube will pause it for a few seconds and then it starts back up. In order to pause something, you must mute your car, which is thankfully on the steering wheel. 4) In combination with 2 and 3 above, the only way to kill a media app like Spotify is to first mute your car and then kill it. If you just pause it and kill it, it'll bring the notification back up and start again. 5) It keeps running for a bit after turning off your car. It also turns on when opening a door. There have been multiple times I've gotten home, went inside, walked around a bit, and tried to watch a video. The video works fine, but the audio doesn't. It'll still be connected to the car for a bit, requiring me to turn off bluetooth to use audio (which is a pain if you use a smart band of some kind). Same thing happens when opening the door while working on my car. If I have music playing or am watching a video, the audio stops as it connects to my care, despite the key not being in it. 6) The most annoying part of all: the reconnecting. I have a long commute and this need to reconnect every 15 minutes on average. It wouldn't be too bad if it immediately paused the music when it needed to reconnect, but it takes around 5-10 seconds before the audio actually pauses. So by the time it reconnects (about 30-45 seconds later) it's already skipped some of the audio. On the plus side, it does has some positives. Pros: 1) When it plays music most of the time, it sounds great. I haven't noticed any difference between bluetooth and the cable. 2) Next/Prev song buttons on the MMI work. This lets you control almost everything without the need of using your phone/device. Overall, I'm not sure I'd recommend it unless you really want the Next/Prev mmi buttons to work. My brother uses a generic fm transmitter in his A4 that doesn't let you use the Next/Prev mmi buttons, but it also doesn't need to reconnect every 15 minutes (and is significantly cheaper).

I think I’ve had it for about 4-5 months now. Works great. I had some problems initially with it automatically hooking up to the car (had to unplug and replug it sometimes) but I think maybe it has a battery that needs to be charged up. I charged it for one day with the USB plugged it into my Benz c300 2009. Never had an issue ever again and never had to charge it ever again. Would highly reccomend over any fm transmitters as they all just suck!!! 10/10 sound quality. All the song info displays on the car screen and can be controlled by the car as well. Automatically pauses music with phone calls comming in and uses the Mercedes built in Bluetooth for the phone calls. You can also have your friends connect to this device so they can control the music while you can keep your own device hooked up to the car. Brilliant genius little device. Only complaint is that it always automatically plays music so you can’t just pause it, it will just start playing again in seconds. you have to turn the volume all the way down or power off the audio system in the car. Can get a little annoying for using google maps cause music always has to be playing but it lowers the audio on the music when google is speaking so not that big of a deal. So far no one has even figured out I’m using an external device to play my music in my car. Boooooo in Mercedes for building a car that has Bluetooth but can’t play music??? Lmao
