Update a year later - still a great purchase. I don't move it around alot as it's stashed under our bed, but it's held up and it's kept the curious kiddos (11,11 & 9) out! If they wanted too, I'm sure they could get into it, but they'd have to get destructive to do it and if I was worried about that, I'd put it somewhere more out of reach/sight from them. I'd still buy again if I needed it! I also like the bags, I use one of them when we travel to protect the toys & keep it all together. Original review: Bottom line, I'd buy again. I just opened it & filled it tonight and it seems fairly sturdy. The bottom is fabric and has a cardboard-like insert and the sides also feel like cardboard but collapse so it can fold flat if needed when not in use. I like that it's lockable (although not super sturdy). I wouldn't trust it to travel as is, I'd stick it inside something hard sided (I think it would crush/get banged up pretty easily) but it's decent enough to go under the bed or in the closet and keep the kids out, but it's not going to keep out someone who really wants in. It took some playing but I got the lock figured out and again it's not a super sturdy lock, but it does the job and I could put a different one on if I wanted. Functions well - holds what I wanted and is able to stretch a little to fit taller items as it's not hard sided. Value isn't bad, it will protect the toys from dust/dirt/prying kiddos eyes and it's worth it to me.

This is a great lockable box! It’s a very decent size and I can fit a lot of things in it! It’s also very light weight and looks clean. It is durable but I don’t think it would be good for very heavy items and/or transporting things on a regular basis. Mine stays in a cabinet: I bought this to store candy and cookies in so the kids don’t overdue it but I can still offer them sweet treats sparingly! Overall a great find and is exactly what I needed!

Lock is crap, best to buy a different one as we had to cut off the lock to replace it. It’s really loose and after a while the combo changed. We didn’t forget it. It changed. Instead of 200, 300 was required to unlock it. And then I guess if malfunctioned again as nothing would work. Container is nice, lock is not.

Box not very sturdy. There is not structure to it. Should have cost about half of what it did. The lock in not very sturdy either. A toddler could get into it in 2 mins or less. It will only keep an honest person honest. Invest a little more money and get something secure. Only keeping it because I I've in such a remote area it's a 45 minute drive just to get to a drop off point to return it.
