It only cooled twice in a couple hours. It ran for maybe 10 minutes. I followed the directions and waited more than 8 hours to start it. I had high hopes for this a/c. The vent hose melted where it ran out of the tent. I’m grateful I tried it at home before taking it out camping. The handle for carrying it was great.

This little guy puts out cold air conditioning. I have it placed next to my power recliner which is located on my covered patio. Product is very easy to setup and use. It's heavy for my very weak arms but I won't be moving it around. Cold air conditioning is available whether the fan speed is on 1,2,or 3. It appears to be very reliable. Amazon shows that this product pairs easily with my Jackery 3600 solar generator. I will use the huge solar panels while charging and running this little guy if electricity goes out. The monsoon season arrives in a month. That means power outages during 115° plus temperatures. Again I am very impressed with this product.

I guess you get what you pay for, sometimes. I've been a fan of BougeRV products ever since I bought one of their refrigerators for camping three years ago. It was a game changer, sips power, and is still going strong. Since then I've bought a few other BougeRV items and have been really happy. This air conditioner is a real dud, though. After opening it I let it sit in a small (about 8'x8') office room for 24 hours. Then i set it up, vented it out the window with a portable air conditioner panel I had from another unit, and let it run for an hour. The room was 78 degrees when I closed the door, and an hour later it was 80. I was hoping this would be something to put in my new tiny van camper build, but there's no way it's going to work. Very disappointing! Considering it's priced a fraction of the competition, I suppose that makes sense. I think in the end I'll be best off buying a standard in room AC unit. At least I know those work!

Very impressed, the attached image shows the various temperatures and humidity levels, The feel 1 Is the output conditioned air temp, feel 2 Is the intake conditioned air, and the igloo was temporarily repurposed for the floor level temperature. The room is approximately 12' W x 18' L x 8' H with a double window. The unit settings at the time of the temp capture was cooling at medium fan speed, all settings seem to work as intended. Suggestions, conditioned air intake and output must be partitioned/separated from the exterior heat expulsion and intake air, or you are merely circulating the extracted hot air. Improvements suggested, they should supply a 6-in shroud and hose for the intake air, a timer revision to include and automatic on timer would be nice, and they should include a simple remote, it seems to be working beautifully, not overly noisy, produces a lot of condensation from dehumidifying, which is the key to comfort in a southern climate!

The price is fair, and the A/C does work. The back side near the condenser gets pretty hot during operation. The included exhaust hose feels inexpensive and becomes very flimsy after about 45 minutes of use. I also had to duct tape the end cap to keep it from falling off. I tested it on a 99°F day while mowing yards. It brought the temperature inside my small extended cab Toyota down to around 80°F, although my temperature gauge batteries died, so I’ll need to do another test for more accurate readings. I placed a small fan behind the unit to help cool the condenser area, and it definitely helped. The back of the unit wasn’t as hot to the touch, and the fan also created a slight breeze that improved air circulation inside the cab. The unit isn’t especially heavy, but it can be awkward to position in a small space. I also found that running my truck’s factory A/C at the same time helped cool the cab initially, and once the temperature came down, this portable A/C did a good job of maintaining it. When the cold air is directed toward you, it feels surprisingly cold. I think this unit would perform even better if it were used in the shade or at night. I still need to finish insulating my setup and get everything mounted the way I want it. Once I’ve had more time to test it under those conditions, I’ll come back and update this review. Overall I am satisfied and have opportunity to fulfill more of my expectations.

I bought this unit to cool a 70 square foot tent. I found the performance woefully insuffient and far, far below the performance described by the manufacturer. I tried it in various configurations and blocked all off all the mesh in the tent. As the photos show, the best performance, I got was 5.5 Deg. F below outside outdoor ambient temperature after running the unit on "turbo" mode for six hours. The. manufacturer claims 18 Deg. F drop in 15 minutes. I suppose that may be the case if you're cooling a coffin. I am returning it to Amazon.
