These Extensions are great! The wire is made of good quality and the connectors are sturdy. My only complaint is that it did not come with instructions on how to connect the connectors. I had to YouTube it just to figure it out. So yeah, some instructions will be nice.

These wires come without connectors on one end - so you can slide them through small holes.ports and then connect them - or so you can connect them to SAE or another type of connector. Fine, and this is clearly spelled out. I only wish the positive and negative cables were bonded together, so they created one coil rather than two coils to manage. A 10' length of 2 cables came in a coil (outer diameter of 7", inner diameter of 4-5", a zip tie to hold the coil together would need to be about 4"). A 50' length of cables were similarly sized at 9" outer, 4" inner, 10" zip tie. ... show more

This is a good product if you plan on doing your own wiring. It can be confusing as you have to put the connectors on each end of the wires. The make a kit for this as well. Make sure that when you are putting the connectors on that they are the opposite to what is on the other end. Female end is snug, male end is too tight to be used with my Renogy panel. Works great with none Renogy mc4 connectors-hard to say what company is the issue. My Renogy connectors also work with the same cables that this one does, they just don’t work together.

This item was "basically useless" as it did NOT AT ALL have a "Wire gauge size" and wires were TOTALLY TO LARGE EVEN ONCE STRIPPED TO CONNECT INTO THE PORTS/CONTACT POINTS ON THE CONTROLLER FOR THE 50 WATT PORTABLE SOLAR PANELS IT WAS ADVERTISED FOR! CONNETORS COME NOT INSTALLED, YOU MUST STRIP AND APPLY CONNECTORS YOURSELF BUT DUE TO COMPLICATIONS ONCE CONNECTED TO MALE/FEMALE SIDES, IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO DISCONNECT THEM!! Probably is fine for permanent installation, but if you're planning to use it for portable panels, it's very inconvenient. Stiff and hard to coil when it's time to put them away. A much better option is Marine Duplex Wire. This has the red and black wires in a sheath instead of two separate wires. Makes it much better for a portable install. ... show more

Used this cable to install a temporary solar power setup on my property for my camper. This cable is very easy to use and plenty capable of being direct buried. Connected right up to my used residential panels and sends power to my controller. Made installing very easy.
