  • It has it's quirks, but it's been reliable and works well. Low power consumption is a plus.
Size: 43 Quart
*--- Update 9/9/25 --------------------------------------------------* Ok, I've been using this as a 'beer fridge' since the camping trip, and it performs really well. Yes, it has quirks when you unplug it and plug it back in. Yes, sometimes the temps will flicker 0 degrees, then go back to the current temperature. Yes, I wish the power plug was on the opposite side from the control buttons. However, for ~300 bucks, it works well, and you can maintain two separate temperatures. It's been running for months now. Mostly in the basement, but lately it's been on the porch for a few weeks with these fall temperatures. Nice to have a frosty beverage quickly available. The internal LED Lighting is awesome when it gets dark. It's more like a 4/5 with quirks, but considering the price, I'll give it a full 5-star approval. *--- Original ------------------------------------------------------------* We took this camping and it worked...ok. In 90-degree heat it kept our food 'cold'. Not sure how cold, because I don't trust the temperature probes, but items in the freezer remained rock-hard the entire trip which was fantastic. As another user mentioned, one thing that was very strange... If the power drops, ie you switch from the car DC to an AC hookup, the temperature 'resets'. The screen will read 0 degrees for both sides. And the fridge will slowly start climbing back up. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 all the way up to 34 degrees before it stabilizes again. (about an hour) - Is my food just warming up during this time? - Why does this happen? At a bare minimum, this is a software bug. However, when we got home, I left it connected indefinitely. And sure enough, sometimes when I check the screen, it's well below my setting of 33 or 34 degrees. This is connected to grid power with no outages mind you... (see pics, I have NEVER put the fridge side below 33 degrees, and sometimes it'll just read 0, in the middle of the day) One time the freezer went to -8 with the fridge rising all the way to 46?? Did the coils freeze? It was inside in a controlled environment...kinda suspect if you ask me. At a bare minimum it needs a firmware update. Not sure if the compressor chokes and causes a crash, or the software itself has a memory leak. But it seems to 'reboot' randomly. Not something I want to trust my health to, that's for sure. For the price, it's amazing. 1/3 the cost of a Dometic. The energy use in my basement ends up being around 260Wh/day, which is fantastic. I could run this indefinitely off a single solar panel and ~500Wh battery, which is great. But I'm still on the fence about keeping it. It's definitely a work-in-progress at this time. ... show more

  • Remember it's a fridge not a cooler !
Size: 52 Quart
Works great! anyone who gave this a bad review either got a dud which happens on any manufacturing line. Or they don't understand that this is intended as a fridge not a cooler if you put room temp drinks in there by themselves it will take some time to cool them, unless you have allot of other cold things in there already ( thermal mass ) . I work out of my truck primarily. I bought this to keep all my food and drinks cool and a bonus of having solid ice . I bought the battery pack to go with it. And I also run a solar panel on top of my truck. So far even on cloudy days I havent ran below 60% battery working 8- 10 hrs and on sunny days the battery stays fully charged. It honestly is a monster size wise and I have no need for this much space but I have a family of 5 and it will be perfect for going out for the day and for trips. i will probably be purchasing their smaller unit for more portability. Oh yea forgot to mention it will freeze ice with no problem I put 4 sandwich size bags of water in set it at -4 and it froze all of them solid in about 6 hours. ( on ac power on max setting ) ... show more

  • Excellent design and quality.
Size: 52 Quart
The battery lasts quite a bit, the food and drinks are very cold. We use it for our boat and camping, it is totally worth every penny. NOTE: we bought the battery separately or does NOT come with the chest purchase. I highly recommend getting the battery. We can also plug it to a Bluetti, it uses very little electricity. Very easy to transport and carry with the handles. ... show more

  • Very Well Constructed Product
Size: 43 Quart
My wife and I take a couple of road trips per year. As she has a bad back, we needed something to keep her ice packs frozen. I bought the Bouge 12 volt car refrigerator/freezer for that purpose. It was delivered quicker than expected and appears to be very well constructed. Plugged it in here at the house and set one side to 36 degrees and the other to zero. Freezer froze the ice packs and a bottle of water solid. We are taking our first road trip October 2. I’ll let you know if it doesn’t meet my expectations, but I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t. Good design and solid construction. Love the fact that you can adjust both sides the same or set to two different temperatures. We’re looking forward to using it. BTW the Bluetooth software was easy to load and operate. Really impressed, so far. Very quiet operation, as well. ... show more

  • Temp display glitches, works great otherwise
Size: 52 Quart
It works as described - love that I no longer have to hope hotels have a freezer section in the mini fridge for my ice packs when I travel with medication that has to be kept cold. The unit kept temperatures as set for both fridge and freezer settings. Big negative is the display would randomly show different temperatures, from 0 to 43 degree F. The same random temperatures on the display would also reflect in the app. The set temperatures would never change. Seems more like a software glitch or a firmware update is needed. I had other fridge freezer temp indicators I put in the compartments to verify, and the variance was around 3-4 degrees from set points. When using in the car, the car plug must be used. Even tho we have regular plugs in our vehicle, they did not work with this travel fridge/freezer settings. Worked great with the car adapter. Indoors worked great with the regular indoor adapter. Still debating on if return or keep, as I’m still in my return window due to the display variance issues. ... show more
