  • BOSS is always 5/5
Singers have their Shure stuff. It's Boss - trusted by guitarists for decades.

Nothing more than I expected from BOSS. Quality and performance is spot on.

  • Quality Product..... for the most part.
I PURCHASED THE BOSS WL-60 ON AMAZON, JUST FROM ANOTHER BOSS SELLER. YOU CAN SEE THIS SAME REVIEW AS A "VERIFIED PURCHASE" REVIEW ON THE OTHER SELLER. ***Received the WL-60 in the mail on Saturday (2/8/2020). ***Assessment after using it for three days, in all applications, on Wednesday (2/12/2020): PROS: Strong signal from transmitter to receiver. Very long range without the slightest hint of signal loss. The receiver fits perfectly on my pedal board, and identifies the strongest channel very quickly. Connecting it and setting it up (in all aspects - physically and electronically) is extremely easy, almost intuitive. Looks cool. Large display. Transmitter WILL NOT fall off your guitar strap, due to the fool-proof design. The digital cable simulation feature is pretty cool for recording applications, but I just leave the cable simulation off for maximum signal strength. The signal is extremely strong no matter how far you stand from the receiver. The short TS cable that comes with it to connect from the transmitter to the guitar input is very high quality. CONS: Those who are accustomed to Boss' typical high-quality metal-housed pedals and foot switches will be surprised that the housing of both the transmitter and receiver are all plastic. While you're not ever going to step on the receiver, I'd like to see it encased in metal due to the fact that it's on a pedal board and accidents can happen. The transmitter has two very critical flaws that should have been addressed before releasing this product: 1.) The battery cover falls off easily. TOO easy. It takes virtually nothing to slide it off with an accidental nudge. It fell off the transmitter twice during my last band practice, and I wasn't even moving around that much. Bad design. Due to that, be prepared to keep a rubber band or piece of tape around the transmitter from day one. 2.) You can NOT simply "unclip" the transmitter from your guitar strap quickly to switch guitars in-between songs. The transmitter attaches to your strap by threading your strap through the clip. Unless you have multiple transmitters, you have to remove your strap from the guitar, pull the strap back out, then take the strap off the next guitar, re-thread the transmitter, and re-attach that strap to the next guitar. It's impossible to switch instruments quickly in-between songs in a live setting, so you will be forced to purchase at least one additional transmitter if you're a gigging musician who changes instruments during your set. I wouldn't return it because the pros are strong, but I can't help but feel disappointment over the flaws. ESPECIALLY with the battery cover falling off the transmitter so easily. I shouldn't have to deal with that for the $300 I paid for this product. It's below my expectations for a Boss product. ***EDIT - 2 DAYS LATER (2/14/2020): All things considered and despite the flaws, I really love how simple it is to use and how strong the signal is. I may just bite the bullet and lay down an additional $100 for another transmitter for ease of switching instruments. And yes, I still have a couple rubber bands around the transmitter to keep the battery cover on securely. Still shaking my head at that... ... show more

  • Ideal Wireless Rig
Responsive... low latency.. cool you can use AAs for battery

  • Nice design, but doesn't function
The unit is beautifully designed and very easy to use. I love everything about the concept. It doesn't work. The unit continuously cuts in and out, even when there is only 45 feet between the transmitter and the receiver. I tried numerous channels and everything I could think of. My house has a very low Wi-Fi footprint and didn't work there. It's hard to believe it would work in a club that has a bigger Wi-Fi footprint. Boss is one of my favorite brands, so the poor performance came as a big surprise to me. If Boss makes improvements I would be interested in buying it again. ... show more

  • Works great, with an additional purchase (cheap)-nylon handcuff cases!
I love them, and the base is pedal sized plus it has a power out for a 9-volt pedal power cable. Great for when you have a power supply with only so many outs, but the pedal plugged directly into it doesn't use the full mA for that port. For example, a 100 mA power out can power multiple pedals or dumb footswitches depending on what they are, so being able to branch off of this base station is great. The transmitters are always paired and you can use multiple, just not at the same time. I love that they use AA batteries because I get them in bulk and rechargeable, and since I have a charger on my pedalboard plugged into my power supply I always have batteries. The only con I have is that the clips suck and the body is plastic. The clips are worse than the plastic body- that I can get around by using cheap nylon police handcuff cases that slide onto the strap and have a snap closure. Works great, always secure and I don't have to worry about the battery hatch popping off or dropping the transmitter. I get them on amazon in a two-pack for about 14.00. I have multiple guitars, so I have two transmitters. You can't double up the transmitters on one receiver, but you CAN switch between guitars and leave the transmitters on the same channel, just not both on at the same time. ... show more

  • Hopeful
I was really hopeful that this product would at least work for 18-20 feet but I could only get around 10-12 feet then I start getting interference or signal drops. I Made sure batteries were new and I tried different channels but no luck. I really like the unit and for the price, it would have been perfect. Do take note that the battery cover on the transmitter easily comes off and it is annoying as a light nudge is all it takes so you have to use tape on the cover to avoid having the cover fall off. I decided to return this and spend a little more for a Shure guitar wireless. ... show more

  • Don’t waste your money
Bought this unit for a second pedal board to use for acoustic duos. I tried it as soon as it arrived. I scanned for the best channel and wow! This thing was horrible. Constant cut outs. Immediately returned and I’ll be staying with my Shure GLXD16. Coming from Boss, this was really disappointing.
