After many years of having a Kenwood DDX series (with iDatalink) in my Jeep, it started to randomly reboot and the USB connection for Car Play and Android Auto went out so I needed a replacement. Looking at the big names like Kenwood, JVC, etc I found they were very expensive...Then I came across the Boss Elite BE950WCPS and it had all the key features I wanted Plus it had Wireless Car Play and Android Auto, it is a fairly new product so did not find a lot of info on it but other Boss radios got fairly good reviews so I decided to get it along with a backup camera. I already had a Maestro RR so I did not get a new Universal steering wheel controller (You need something if you have buttons on your steering wheel and want to use them). Maestro does not "Support" Boss radios but if will work if you have the correct cables from the kit. There is not a wiring diagram that comes with the Radio and the manual does leave a lot to be desired. It uses universal color code for wires so it was pretty straight forward to connect (SWC 3.5 adapter is for Steering Wheel Controls). Things like RC (rear camera, and FC Front Camera and 4 channel RCA jack labeling did require assuming that is what they were for. The unit starts up very fast 5 to 10 sec (at least compared to my old kenwood which could take up to a minute). The backup camera screen pops up as soon as I shift into reverse and is very clear. I am more of an Android person so I use an S21, had no problem pair my phone and it works great wired and wireless Android Auto, I tested my my wife's iPhone and Car Play works with both as well. (Android was much faster pairing and reconnecting to the radio) I do not have an Amp but the sound is great for me (better sound than old Kenwood did). While I miss some of the Extras that iDatalink radios provide (Shows data from the car like tire pressure, error codes from check engine and even if a door is open, the Boss radio provided me with a easy way to display navigation from phone, listen to streaming music and show backup camera (has ability for a front facing too) If you are looking for a great radio that will not break the bank with great features, then this is the radio for you.

Bought this for the wireless car play essentially. Works great for that purpose. Connecting to it when the car starts up takes a couple seconds but connects without issues. Generally snappier than I expected with Apple car play too. Especially snapping through apps and the screen is good Second part that’s nice is this is just a general double din size. Dropped it into a 2009 4Runner that had a nav unit and it was just as easy as the time I installed a double din stereo into a 2003 4Runner that had a CD player / radio. Cons: volume button is annoying to hit because it’s just on the side of the screen. Don’t have a solution for this yet but not a deal breaker as I generally set the volume once a drive.

There weren't very many reviews for the wireless android auto models, so I was concerned it wouldn't work well. I can report it does work very well. Automatically connects and has all the normal AA stuff that comes built into new cars. The install guide sucks, as other people have mentioned, but your wiring harness should come with better directions. If you didn't buy a wiring harness, you should. It makes wiring it much easier and makes the install less permanent. Sound quality isn't the best, but it has a decent equalizer that can make it sound closer to the way I want. I haven't had it long, but I will update if I have issues.

Wireless apple play! The screen is decent. It gots some LEDs on the buttons (not actual buttons it’s built into the screen, in other words it’s all touchscreen. No physical buttons) which you can change to other colors. Easy to use and connect your phone! The installation is hard if you don’t know what you’re doing! It’s great for the price though! Solid product

Installation instructions are completely absent. Fortunately, the wires are fully labeled and follow the same color codes as the Metra wire harness. It took a lot of installing to run the cables run for the cameras, microphone, and usb jack, but most of that was expected. The android-auto integration works when my phone is plugged in, but not by bluetooth. That is because my phone is too old, I think. This thing needs bluetooth "profiles" that my phone does not have.

I've purchased this Car Stereo in August 2022. I was very impressed with the sound quality and more important how convenient and easy to connect Apple Carplay wireless. Everything worked perfect. After 5 months, first GPS began to behave weird in the middle of drive, map on the screen will go crazy, after one week while playing music on this Stereo via bluetooth, all of sudden loud noise and stereo went blank and DEAD. Now it won't turn on despite several attempts to turn on and off my Engine. Checked connections at the back and all are intact. I thought I got good stereo for great price but it only lasted 5 months. Not worth it for its price. Better to look for good quality and good brand stereo. Reached out to Boss Customer Service because this is still under warranty. Hoping for favorable response. Stay tuned for further update on Boss Audio Customer service.
