With 5V/3A (15W) USB-C capable power supply, from 0% to 100% while unit is in standby mode. Charging times will vary when not using the recommended 15W supply. Using Bluetooth A2DP audio at 65% volume and between 68° F – 77° F (20° C – 25° C), with default EQ using a mix of Top 50 Global tracks as of November 2024 and no charging of external devices. This Bose SoundLink Plus sounds exceptional, gets astonishingly loud with zero distortion - and it is not just splash resistant, but is rated as waterproof. If you're looking for something to bring music to a tailgate party, backyard or living room, this seems hard to beat. I already had the Bose app on my Samsung tablet because I have a pair of Bose headphones, so as soon as I turned on the SoundLink Plus, the app detected it and paired up with it. You don't have to use the Bose app if you don't want to, but I recommend it because it gives you equalizer settings, allows you to check the battery, etc. The battery on my speaker arrived 30% charged so I connected the charging cable, which is included, but I wanted to see what it sounded like right away. The audio from this is impressive. There is plenty of tight, clean bass, but it's also got crisp mid-range and treble. It reminds me of a high-quality speaker you might hear at a nice restaurant or club that has outdoor music. And, does it ever get loud. Playing this outdoors on the tailgate of my truck at about 70% volume, I was able to hear it all over my yard and even well down the street. If you did not see this speaker, you would assume the sound was coming from a much larger audio system with multiple speakers. It's that good. As is typical of Bose products, the SoundLink Plus has a clean, understated design. There are buttons on top for power, Bluetooth pairing, play/pause, and volume. There's also a shortcut button that by default is set up to allow you to link two Bose speakers together. Very intuitive and easy to use. There is also a built-in carry strap that could also be used to anchor the speaker in place while it is in use. One of the more impressive features of this speaker is that it is waterproof as well as dust proof. According to the product documentation, it can be immersed in water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes or used in the shower. They do caution against attempting to charge the speaker while it is still wet, however. The manufacturer also advises rinsing it off in clean water if it is splashed with salt water or with chlorinated water from a hot tub or swimming pool. With this level of water resistance, there would be no worries about bringing this along even if it might get rained on. And if it did rain, you could just keep right on playing it if you wanted. This speaker has some weight to it and seems solidly put together. Battery life is said to be up to 20 hours at moderate volume or about 4 hours if you are playing it full blast. I played mine outdoors for about an hour at 70% volume and the battery still shows 100%. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I have an addiction to Bluetooth speakers. They’re everywhere in my home! I have a lot of different brands, Bose, Sony, JBL, Anker… I even have the super high end $500 Sony bluetooth ones that have surround sound satellite speakers! This is probably the best value of them all if you need something very powerful. The SoundLink series is probably my favorite. Build quality: Amazing. Bose does not disappoint with build quality. It feels solid, weighs a lot, and the materials feel premium. The color is gorgeous. Value for money: It’s more on the expensive side but for the price, I think it hits the sweet spot of higher end power. If you need it for a small room and don’t need sound that travels really far and fill up the room, don’t get this. Get something smaller! That’s the thing about these speakers: bigger is not always better. However this is the best value for something that is in between in the middle. Sound quality: Amazing sound quality. It gets LOUD and the bass is fantastic. I added a clip of royalty free music but honestly doesn’t do it justice. Need a speaker for a small bathroom or bedroom? You don’t need this. The JBL Mini is perfect for that. Need a speaker that can sit outside or fill a living room? This is the one. GREAT sound quality. Battery life: Battery life is really strong. Just to test it out I did it with a 5 hour gaming session and it went from 70% to about 40%. If you need battery life, these bigger ones are better. Why did you pick this product vs others?: Sound quality, build quality, and price. The other Soundlink Flex is REALLY good. But it falls short if you need it to be very loud. There’s another Soundlink that is $400 and very big. This is the perfect in between. Honestly with all the speakers I own, Bose makes the best ones.
