  • Great Value
Color: Black
These are good! I am coming from some older earbuds, namely the original pixel buds pro earbuds. I felt that those earbuds hit a better price point than their successors, the pixel buds pro 2, did. They recently started to give me some trouble and the battery has been degrading quite rapidly, so I know I needed to look for a new set. These Bose buds caught my eye as the largest limitation with the OG pixel buds was their ANC performance. I use earbuds a lot when performing yard work, so drowning out various tools and traffic noise were top of my priorities. Additionally, I did not want to spend 200+ USD on something like the AZ100 or the more premium offers from Sony/Bose. These have filled those requirements nearly perfectly. I am very impressed with ANC performance, they seem very similar to my Sony WH-XM3s. This is a very impressive feat for in ear buds, but I know that the Sonys are a few generations old at this stage. I can say that they handily outperform the pixel buds. This seems especially true with higher frequency sounds. Overall, very impressed with how they handle noise suppression/ANC in busy environments as well. Voices seem to be suppressed quite well. I was also presently suprised by sounds quality. I think that these sound a little better than the OG pixel buds do. Clarity is better, especially in the mids. These also tend to get really loud, especially compared to the pixel buds. I notice I am often not using more than 50% of the volume available to achieve normal listening volumes. Bass is somewhat bloated, overall similar to the Sony WH-XM3s, but this is overall a pleasurable tune and can be adjusted with a 5 band equalizer. There are some potential downsides. While the buds themselves feel high quality, the case feels relatively cheap and oversized. The OG pixelbuds have been rock solid for me. Their case has survived numerous drops and being mistaken for a dog toy a time or two. The Bose QC case feels much lighter and the cover feels much thinner. The hinge also does not feel nearly as robust. With that said, I do appreciate that they sell a replacement charging case for 60$. While it was touched on, I do also want to mention that the case seems just a little too large. It's about 50% thicker than the pixel buds or airpods. It's still very pocketable, but I do not think I will carry them with me at all times like I did with the pixel buds. The intrusiveness of the larger case in conjunction with my concerns about durability make me hesitant. Overall, these are really nice earbuds. I have not experienced any connectivity issues using the latest update. They connect and play quickly as expected. They have had great stability in ear, even while running. I think these strike a very good value for money where spending more may have diminishing returns. I think this is especially relevant as it seems that all wireless earbuds tend to have a lifespan of a few years before they are end of life due to wear or battery degradation. It's hard for me to justify spending more on something I can only expect to last 2-4 years. ... show more

  • Give these a chance. You will not be disappointed
Color: Black
I was gifted a pair of these Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds by a close friend of mine. I have been using Air Pod Pros both the 1st and 2nd Generation exclusively and nothing else. I use Foam Tips on my Air Pod Pros and have been very happy with the sound quality, noise cancellation effectiveness, and comfort with the Foam tips. I ordered some Foam Tips for these Bose QC Earbuds and I'm not sure if it was just the brand or simply how the tips mount to the Bose QC earbuds but I did not like the Foam Tips that I purchased for these ear buds. They did not create an effective seal when inserted into the ear canal and it did not matter if it was S/M/L because of the lack of the seal creation it rendered the noise cancellation useless. I have had these about 3 days now and have been giving them a good test run. The silicone tips in medium that come attached to the Bose QC earbuds have actually been comfortable to wear in my ears. I don't understand why they have been so comfortable to wear seeing that Apple Air Pod Pros silicone tips hurt my ears. The silicone Tips on the Bose QC create a great seal while in my ear canal and the noise cancellation is every bit as effective as my Air Pod Pros using the Foam tips. If you go read earlier reviews on the Bose QC earbuds you will see all the negative reviews about connection issues, mic issues, etc. Bose revamped the Bose QC earbuds correcting all the issues from their earlier versions of the ear buds. In addition to that they came out with an app to compliment the ear buds. In the Apple Store it's called Bose QC earbuds. I charged the ear buds to 100% in the case when I first opened them up in the box. I downloaded the app from the Apple App Store. I went to Bluetooth on my phone and connected the Bose QC ear buds to my phone. Open the case and it should put them in pairing mode automatically. I placed the ear buds in my ears and opened the app. I connected my ear buds to the app. Right away I saw there was a software or firmware update. While the ear buds are in your ears and the app is open and you have good signal run the update took about 3 minutes. You can customize everything on your ear buds to your personal preferences in the app. It is extremely easy to do in the app. You can also name the earbuds in the app and on your phone. The mic quality has been good and no one has complained to me yet. The battery life has been great. I think at $149 you will not find a better pair of noise cancelling ear buds. They are performing as good if not better than my Air Pod Pros. The one feature that I have been enjoying is the voice command feature to control things. You can turn your camera on. Maybe you want to take a selfie or get a group photo. Wearing your ear bud(s) you can say Hey Headphones...(pause)...Take Photo and the iPhone camera will take a picture. It is very slick. Great value for the money! Considering I got mine gifted from one of my buddies these have exceeded my expectations. They are every bit as good as my Air Pod Pros 2nd generation. These will be my primary ear buds moving forward. Because Bose revamped them, added an app to compliment them, and kept the name the same there is a lot of confusion by customers. They do not understand the issues with the earlier versions have been corrected. I did not even know until I started stumbling onto videos discussing all of this stuff. Give them a try you will be pleasantly surprised. This coming from someone who has only used Apple Air Pod Pros for last several years. I know Bose is good because I have used many of their over the ear noise cancelling headsets in the past. QC1, QC2, QC25, QC35, QC45. These QC earbuds with their noise cancelling are every bit as good. They sound great. Hope this review helps someone in their decision making. ... show more

  • One Major Design Flaw to Consider
Color: Black
First, I want to say the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds 2024 are easily the most comfortable I’ve ever had. The sound is great (not a audiophile here, so strictly an objective opinion) And the noise cancellation is, far and away, better than expected. All this is why I’ve tried everything to work through a major design flaw. All the reviews praise these buds, only mentioning (almost as an aside) that there are connection issues. Also, many purchaser reviews play down this problem – only commenting about one side or the other temporarily losing connection (an occasional glitch with many brands) What they’re missing is that all of these reviews seem to be using the buds while engaged in some activity (eg: gym, running, walking, etc). When sedentary (ie: motionless, lying down or reclining) the Bose Buds will consistently lose their connection. I’ve even tried to disable in-ear detection (the option to do so not offered by Bose). Using tape over the in-ear sensor, I’ve found that the buds still seem to require some motion to “stay alive”. I am currently awaiting delivery of my 3rd replacement earbuds and am really hoping that at some point Bose will try to do something about this in a future firmware update. -- Update -- The following (in brackets) I submitted to Bose today to try to solve the issue I was having << I am now on my 4th pair of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (gen 2) 2024. This latest replacement has proven to be the best functioning so far. The primary problem, however, still persists. In doing some testing I believe a possible a clue to the cause of my most nagging issue has shown up. My primary use of the earbuds is for meditation (ie: while wearing them my head is almost entirely motionless). It appears that the buds are designed to detect movement and that a lack of motion causes one or both of the buds disconnect periodically. Testing this hypothesis during a few listening sessions, I made a point of moving my head every 10 minutes. By doing so, I was able to listen without interruption through several tests (one of then for an hour & 45 minutes). Of course, having to concentrate on moving my head is no acceptable solution. >> - - After reviewing my query, I was informed that this is, indeed part of their design and nothing can be done. The fact that it’s a problem that many have mentioned in You-tube reviews and online comments was not addressed. My conclusion is that Bose is now a company trading on its past reputation and should be avoided. Thus - for obvious reasons - I've reduced my rating to 1 star (zero is not an option here) ... show more

  • Pretty good with some small caveats
Color: Black
I've been on a long search for wireless earbuds, and these are the ones I finally decided to stick with. I've used these for several months now, so here are my thoughts summarized: Pros: - Fit is comfortable, even if it's a little bulky. I'm able to wear them for several hours without getting sore. - Noise cancellation is amazing. This is definitely these earbuds' standout feature and makes them worth the money. - Has a low latency mode. It's not the best and is definitely still perceivable, but it's still better than all the other earbuds I tried that didn't even attempt to have this option. - Sound quality is good. I'm not exactly an audiophile but I have no complaints with the bass and treble levels. - Controls work well and allow me to easily switch modes. Haven't had any issues with the mobile app either. Cons: - There will occasionally be little blips/glitches where the audio playback briefly cuts out. I've found this happens most often when using multipoint. It's annoying but infrequent enough that I've accepted it given all the pros. - The battery life is... ambiguous. The earbuds will always say they're at 100% but will then one day be out of charge when I take them out of the case, which is weird because the case should be charging it, not UNcharging it. Nonetheless it lasts me multiple days at a time so I can just preemptively charge to avoid this happening. ... show more

  • Nice upgrade
Color: Petal Pink
I’ve had these for more than a month now and have had no issues, the app was easy to install and use and there was a qr code in the box to take me to the correct app to install, I saw a review that said that most people having issues might be using the wrong app as there is two different ones. I haven’t had any issues of my earbuds randomly disconnecting or pairing issues with my iPhone 16. The sound quality is great and I like that I can adjust it, the noise cancellation in calls is also the best, I was literally talking while blow drying my hair and my friend said she couldn’t hear the blow dryer until I took my earbuds off. The only thing thats slightly annoying its that the tap sensor to pause or hang up is very sensitive to the slightest tap sometimes, but I’ve gotten used to it by this point and don’t have as many instances where I accidentally hang up anymore. I switched to these from my AirPods that were like 6 years old by this point, and it was a very nice upgrade, I would definitely purchase again once these start getting a bit old with use ... show more

  • Outstanding noise cancelation some issues with pairing and comfort
Color: Black
Noise canceling is absolutely phenomenal with these. And I think this is the first pair of ear buds where the person on the other end of a conversation could actually hear me through the microphone. Most of them are horrible. In terms of comfort, after 20 minutes I did find them irritating. I cannot imagine wearing them for hours on end. Unlike my JBL set I purchased these do not seem to want to come out of the ear and I felt comfortable moving around or bending over without fear of them falling out of my ear. You can order A lanyard for them as well for a little extra security. I remember dropping an earbud on an airplane and what a nightmare trying to retrieve it in between the seats! I will live with these for a little while. My only complaint so far is comfort. Sound quality is decent but certainly not like a really high quality set of ear phones. I guess the one nice thing about earphones is if someone goes to talk to you they understand you can't hear them whereas with ear buds people don't realize you have them in noise canceling mode and you can't hear them. These were very difficult to connect to my laptop. Have not yet tried pairing them with my smart phone. Certainly much more difficult than other bluetooth devices I've tried. There were many failed attempts and I had mono sound at first. At this point I would not give them more than three stars as they do have issues. Five stars for noise cancelation though as that's really outstanding. Update: After less than a week there's been major problems with connectivity, and I think I'm going to send these back as I can figure out no way to do a hard reset or how to get around the problem. I have a cheap set of JBL's that were only $40 they stay connected without an issue, although the sound quality doesn't touch the Bose. Its too bad, because otherwise they're decent. Update: After just a few days these are cutting out very frequently. My much cheaper JBL set by comparison does not do this at all, although the sound quality is not as good. I'm going to see if there's anything I can do to remedy this, but if I cannot resolve it I will be returning. I can also say these are very finicky and I find myself having frequent problems trying to get things paired correctly and connected. Again my much cheaper $50 JBL set has no such issues and it's as simple as clicking on the icon and presto it's connected, no cut out, no issues. Add nearly three times the price I expect a lot better of the Bose. ... show more

  • Silicon tips get dislodged easily and try to get lost
Color: Black
The silicone tip that goes around the outside of the headphone comes off most of the time I take the headphone out of my ear. This review has been a long time coming. I've owned Bose in ear headphones for about a decade and I decided to "upgrade" from the soundsport to the quiet comfort. I wanted to try the noise cancellation. The noise cancellation is great and the subs quality is what you would expect from Bose. The battery life is also great but I hate that they don't have a good battery indicator like I'm used to (with several dots). So, there are times the headphones don't shut off and run out of batteries because the case is out of charge. But the real problem is the silicon tips that are used to hold the headphones in place. About half the time I take out the headphones those tips come off and there have been times I've had to hunt for them on the street. That's not ok as there aren't extras of each size. It's why I can't rate these higher. ... show more
