I got this back brace to try for some back pain and sciatica I am having trouble with. It runs on the small side, so order a larger size than you think you need. So far, I am only partially pleased with this back brace. I expected it to be more supportive. It is more supportive than some others I tried, but not as supportive as the better ones I have used. It is lightweight but feels hot and makes me sweatier than several others. I have not had significant relief when using the back brace, but it does allow me to do active things longer before I get to the point where I need to stop. The main benefit is an improved posture, which affects back pain. Unfortunately, even after a chiropractic adjustment, the back brace does not hold my back correctly for very long. I would not get this back brace again. There are better back braces available.

First off I thought I purchased an xlg but this is a large so my husband is modeling it and might be upside down, wasnt a very willing pertisapent even though he likes it! He is small and probably could use a medium but the large also works for him. I'm not sure if even the xlg would fit because it seems small to me. The main belt has very little stretch to it so there is no leeway on these measurements. The stretch comes from the 2 belt standardizers that you adjust to your comfort level. The back spine area has a silicone item that is supposed help support the back. This isn't for me as I have had surgery several times and need more support however it would give support for working, standing on your feet all day if you don't need a lot of support.

The back brace is fine. Fits securely, and the backbone section is firm allowing proper support. The only problem is the sizing. Im 5'7 and about 175lbs and I ordered a large but I wish I would have ordered the extra large. My waist is 34 inches and this almost didn't fit. The Velcro straps just barely reach around. It'll work fine for me, as long as I don't get any bigger. I agree with other reviews, pick a size larger than what you think you'll need. All in all a good item though.

I received this back support belt and hope it could be used to offer me some relief. Unfortunately it is too small for my "fluffy" frame. :) It is well made and has a good stretch with a velcro type closer. There is stiff "boneing" to provide support. I would recommend this to anyone with back issues (and a slimmer build).

This is a high-quality brace with obvious engineering thought behind it, but is best suited for men or women who don’t have curvy bodies. I am a 5’5” 180# woman and the Large size barely fits. It will sit fine just at my waist but is not large enough to wear lower for support at my lumbar spine, which is where I need it the most. That said, it has good stretch, strong and wide Velcro closure and stiff boning structure within it. I have no doubt that it will provide relief for people with the right body type, but unfortunately that’s not me.

The belt was fine and provided a medium level of support for my back. However, compared to others I use, this one doesn't get tight enough to provide total pain relief. I wish I was able to cinch it tighter. It is comfortable to wear and does help alleviate some pain, but I will probably only use for light pain days.
