Assembly was a total pain in the butt & my hands absolutely hurt from manually screwing the bolts and screws in but it was totally worth it! I love that the color isn't a super bright white; it is in between a regular white and an antique White. I would highly suggest using an electric screw gun.

Love these stools and they look fabulous! I have never assembled anything in my entire life and It was easier than I thought! (It took me about 30 minutes each) Also, I called the customer service number provided on the assembly instructions as I had a quick question. They answered on my first try and were so helpful and polite. I highly recommend this product and company!

Writing this review to help others considering purchasing this stool, and for those who have purchased it as I have some tips/advice. First off, I didn’t realize that this stool required assembly (my fault for not reading properly). I ordered two of the white square rush stools. After assembling them, they turned out great. They’re sturdy, and look perfect in my place. However, the assembly was SO time consuming. You have to screw 8 bolts in using the provided Allen wrench, plus a bunch of other screws which I HIGHLY recommend using an electric screwdriver with. The slot for the bolts is shallow and I made the mistake of using the L shaped end of the Allen wrench for the first stool. The bolts have a very fine thread so it took FOREVER to slowly tighten each bolt in as you can only do tiny quarter turns of the bolt. It took about 3 hours to assemble the stool and my hands killed from the work. However, my dad showed me a trick and saved me a lot of time with the second stool. Use the rounded end of the Allen wrench to screw the bolts in. It allows you to rotate the wrench and the screw goes in quicker. Next complaint would be that the screws required for the chair leg rods do not have a pre-drilled hole that the screws go into so it requires a lot of manual strength in your hands to tighten the screws if you’re using a standard screwdriver. I used my electric one which was a lifesaver. And lastly the screws they provide to fasten the rush seat cover are way too short. The tip of the screw barely touches the seat so my dad found some longer screws to properly fasten the seat down. They turned out great but I’m so glad I only needed two. Way more time consuming than I expected.

* They make a terrible crunching / ripping sound from the woven top when first sitting on them that makes it seem like they will not last. * One cross bar split when tightening the screw. The way it is designed, the screws concentrate their force on a curved surface of the wood from an edge of the screw head. * Another cross bar was split in the as-received state. * Assembly was a hassle, but a little better if you do these: 1 set one side frame on the floor 2 set the cross bars and cross rods into it 3 make sure the large screw holes of all cross bars and rods are facing down 4 set the other frame on top of these 5 drop 4 of the hex head bolts into holes of the top cross bar 6 use the ball end of the tool (which works at an angle) to get these bolts started 7 the last tightening is done with the short end of wrench ... do NOT tighten heavily 8 fasten screws into the cross bars 9 flip it over and repeat 5 thru 8 10 getting the top on is a really tough fit. I set them in the frig for hours to try to shrink them, but it still took a lot of force. ... but they do look good once assembled, and do function.

Cute once put together which was kind of a pain. Only complaint is that these are not truly white. I bought to go with white table & chairs & these are clearly not white white. More of an antique white.

I love the quality. I needed a stool to stand on to water my hanging plants and this is sturdy enough for this. Assembly tip - use the long side of the Allen wrench like screwdriver. It seems like the short end will hit and scratch the legs but it doesn’t!
