Had to drive down the coast from New York to Florida and wanted to take my expensive rod and reel. Didn't want it floating around loose in the vehicle, so I purchased this folding case. I was a bit skeptical at first, but after unpacking it, I understood about the versatility and protection that it would offer. It is a nice padded construction and has a full-length zipper to allow easy in and out access. There is an extra folding flap to accommodate longer rods if needed, else, it can be folded inside neatly when not needed. The case appears to be durable but not stiff, so it can be gently maneuvered around equipment and luggage in the vehicle without stressing the rod. All in all a good choice for the casual transport of a fishing rig. I would not recommend this for transport on an airline as it does not have a rigid liner, but for day to day carrying in a vehicle or to and from a fishing site, this is a perfect solution.

The case is lightweight, well built and fit my two rods with ease. Love that the material will fold up easily for storage. These will definitely keep the rods and reels from getting scratched up, receiving minor damage or damage from the sun. Much thanks to “Booms” for a nice product.

I needed a carrying case for my martial arts weapons, especially for my jo staff that is longer than normal. This rod case turned out to be the perfect solution. The ”extension” is a great was to access the longer weapons from the top, while the full length zipper allows easy access to the shorter weapons. The bag is made of sturdy material, and the zippers are of decent quality for the price.

I'm using this to hold 2 LED light whips for my UTV which it works very well for. I bought the 'small size' as I have 5 foot (actual-57") whips that are each about an inch in diameter. The listed length is 53" and 61" but I found mine to be 51" and 60", but no complaints as that shorter length is a better fit for me. These are unpadded, just nice heavy fabric, which was what I was expecting and works well for my application. So I can't give advice for fishing poles, but if you are thinking about using these for your whips, it works great.
