  • Great speakers
Highly pleased with these speakers. I am picky about speakers but these two speakers outperformed my 6 other more expensive speakers. This is balanced sound, good for a record player or bluetooth. Well made. Highly recommend.

  • Highs Buzz - High Hopes DAshed
I had high hopes for these after reading so many positive reviews. I am not an audiophile by any means -obviously, or I wouldn't be buying a pair of $79 speakers :D I just set these up tonight and tried them out (On my desktop PC with a wired connection). Watched a Scotty Kilmer video and they sounded reasonable- nothing great, but O-K. Then I tried out some music; just some oldies and classic rock. First few samples I listened too also sounded reasonable, but again, nothing to write home about (Wait...I am home!)...then Scarborough Fair by Simon & Fartfinkle came up, and I immediately had to check my connections as these babies were buzzing (Not the bass, but the treble!) and sounded like a cheap 1960's transistor radio. My connections were good; I tried adjusting the volume and tone on the back of the master speaker (Which shouldn't even be necessary, as my old $70 Klipsch speakers with a blown woofer can handle this song with no fiddling, with no problem at all) and nothing i did improved the sound quality. Then came Natalie Merchant's 'Carnival', and it sounded cruddy on these speakers too...and so on. In general, these speakers handle bass pretty well- nothing earth shattering, but O-K if you're not a 'bass head'. But again, not as good as my old Klipsch's- but they do sound a little tinny and do not 'project' as well as my smaller Klipsch's (even though the Klipsch's are damaged). But these speakers just totally lose it in the highs, as anything with remotely complex treble just makes 'em buzz and lose any clarity in the treble to the point where they are just unlistenable. I've listened to Scarborough Fair since it first came out in the 60's, on everything from said cheap pocket transistor radios on up, but I've NEVER heard it sound as bad as it did on these speakers. How can they not handle Scarborough Fair??!! No sense even trying classical on them. My other complaint with them is that they have the volume and tone controls on the rear of the cabinet...which means instead of just stretching and reaching for them when necessary, I have to actually stand up to access them. I guess they put the money into the Blutooth and not the cones (I can't tell you about the Bluetooth, as I don't use it). Back these puppies go! I had initially come here with the idea of getting another pair of Klipsch's, but figured I'd give these a try since they no longer make the model of Klipsch's I have....but, I guess I made the wrong choice, so now I'll just order a new pair of Klipsch's. ... show more

  • While these appear to be very low-end because of limited features, they make up for it in sound. WOW
These are great. The bass is amazing for the size of the driver and I am totally enjoying these speakers. I thought these would be handy to have around for special situations but I use them all the time and couldn't be happier. If you can live with the fact that they are not full of features and not flashy, you will be happy with your purchase. Get some ! ... show more

  • Very under rated powered speakers!
I like to listen to music while I'm on the computer! I've always had a small amp hooked to two non- powered speakers and a powered subwoofer.....It served me faithfully for years but finally bit the dust... A friend of mine told me about these speakers which I'd never heard of...so I was skeptical about them plus they were very reasonably priced. I took a shot! What a surprise! Nice and clear with all the bass you could ever need for what I'm using them for! I'm not using bluetooth so I can say about that but I'm very pleased with the fidelity of these very reasonably priced powered speakers! Why spend any more if it's not necessary? ... show more
