I had a much smaller and lower quality shredder some years ago that eventually I got rid of because it couldn’t keep up the pace of my needs. I didn’t feel like buying a new shredder (my discretionary funds were competing for other more important things), so I ended up saving my “shreddables” in boxes with the intention of burning them in my backyard fire pit. Well that didn’t happen either because we didn’t have nearly as many fires as I had planned. So finally purchased this higher quality shredder and while just casually sitting and watching TV I managed to shred a ton of the stockpile within a weekend. It never got stuck to the point that required serious intervention, it took whole envelopes, and it only got overheated once after shredding for over an hour in one sitting.

Easier to roll around. The loading of the multi-feed is easy, if one follows the quaint directions to "tidy up" the sheets of paper. One time it fed a few sheets and stopped. The "12-sheet" feed worked very well. The control for "Clearing Jam" backed them out perfectly. The paper chips are so small that one can process many more sheets than with previous chipper shredders. Please do read the directions First! Some reviewers said it had malfunctions which the company responded to quickly. Time will tell on this aspect. Currently we are happy with this model of shredder.

I bought this shredder in October 2022 and I really liked it. It did a good job, jammed only once in a while and it was pretty quiet too. Then in June 2023 the auto-feeder jammed badly and I couldn't get it to work properly any more. The manual feed would only shred single sheets or it would jam too. I sent an email the Bonsen support asking if they had any suggestions for correcting or repairing it. They asked if I could send a copy of my receipt and a short video of the problem, which I did. They promptly replied that it didn't appear to be repairable, so the would be sending a new shredder! Just received it today, July 27, and I am one very happy customer! They back up their product and I really appreciate it! Edit: Been using the replacement shredder for a few days and caught up quite a bit of shredding that had accumulated. New shredder seems quieter that the first one and works like a champ! I also ordered a box of Bonsen's own lubricating sheets and plan on lubricating this shredder on a more regular schedule than I had before. Still very happy!

Works pretty well and shreds documents so they can never be put together again. The only downsides are it’s does jam up a bit if the paper isn’t crispy straight and you can’t really put a plastic bag into basket without forcing the basket closed. That being said it works quickly and would definitely recommend

This was a great product for the first several months. At 11 months, it quit working. So far, customer service has been great to deal with since they offer a 1 year warrenty. I will update once the process is completed. Update: customer service has been very great to deal with through Bonsen. I am still waiting to receive the replacement, but the process has been great so far.

This shredder is much better than my old one that would overheat quickly and not take very many papers at once (hence why I needed a new one). This one does take quite a few papers at once in the manual feed slot (I think 12 is the recommended limit), and I was able to shred papers for a really long time and it never overheated (pretty sure I was shredding for at least an hour). It also shreds credit cards and the like with ease. The one thing I have a big complaint about, though, is the auto feed option. I bought this specifically for that option so that I could just feed a pile of papers into the back and walk away (it’s supposed have a capacity of 120 papers in this spot). I have tried this several times now with various amounts and all of the papers want to go in at one time in one big clump, and then it just gets jammed. The machine does reverse the papers out, but then I have to pull them out and feed them in manually anyway. I have tried this more than a handful of times and it has only worked one time. When it did work, it was very cool and convenient. It’s a bummer as this option was the main reason I chose this particular machine in the first place. If the auto feed option had worked, I would’ve given it five stars.
