    • Quiet, strong, efficient shredder
This shredder is QUIET and strong and holds alot. It is not a microshredder. It shreds the pieces to about 1/8th inch wide by 3/4" long. It is sturdy but light-weight and rolls easily on wheels. The only reason for a 4 instead of 5 stars is the handles. They are a flush indentation on each side, and are fine for picking up the shredder or moving it if facing it. But I keep the shredder under the desk sideways to save room, and it would be easier to move it if the handles had a deeper vertical indentation. It requires both hands to move it. It would be nice to roll it out from under the desk with one hand. However, this is a very minor suggestion. The shredder is the best home office shredder I've used under $200 and I would certainly buy it again. ... show more

    • Perfect except for one little thing
I had a Fellowes cross shredder for my home office, and while it worked great, the design was not awesome and it was quite noisy. I ordered this and it's awesome. The design is excellent (I got the white one to match my office decor), and it's SO MUCH QUIETER! I'm a night owl, and I can shred items at night or on the phone without any issues whatsoever. The only complaint I have is that the rollers are one-directional and that's sideways i.e. you can't slide it out from under a desk towards you from back to front, only sideways. It would have been better to have unidirectional rollers. It's a minor issue though, and I highly recommend this product. ... show more

Bought this shredder after I gave my other one to my daughter. Like the fact that it cross cuts most things but wished it would have done the same for CD's. Also, although there's a basket for the CD, if you over did the count it would overflow into the paper shredding bin. The overall of the product seems nice but definitely the bin is pretty flimsy. Overall it's a nice product but could use some enhancements such as a sturdier bin, maybe transitioning the CD shredder to the side where it would be a separate bin, etc. ... show more

    • Great performance, slight design complaint.
Fast, solid and quiet. -1 star because I have had other shredders that claim the same security level but cut into smaller pieces and the wheels are fixed and only roll parallel to the front of the unit so if you want to push it back under a desk from the front, it wont roll. Note – it doesn't sense when the reservoir is full. So if you keep going, when you open the bin shredded paper is going to spill everywhere. ... show more

This shredder is perfect for my home office. It’s just the right size and color. It works impressively well and is really quiet too. I have another brand that couldn’t keep up with my shredding need as it’s slow and over heats easily. With this one I was able to shred 3 banker boxes filled with confidential documents in one sitting. It’s a work horse for sure. It’s would have taken me days to do this on my old shredder! Haven't stumped this shredder yet. It does a great job but falls far short of its advertised sheet capacity. No surprise there since this is not a heavy duty commercial unit. I have routinely fed 6 sheets of typing paper and it only slows to a more serious pace, has not jammed and I am not anxious to test it. Oil the shredder on schedule - after every second full bin. Haven't had it long enough for any report on durability but, for now, I am very satisfied with the price, delivery and function. Bonsai! ... show more

Very good. Not too loud. Powerful. Doesn't give up. I shredded hundreds of sheets after the new year. Wish there was a bag that would fit inside. Tip, if you let it fill up, it's gonna be ugly. The shredder doesn't have a sensor so the pieces go up into the shredding mechanism. Also, don't put a credit anywhere but the middle where it shows or it will get stuck. The box that collects the credit cards gets buried with the shreds. I tossed it after a couple of times of having to go through the paper. ... show more

I love this paper shredder... although after about 9 months of light use, mine began unexpectedly/unpredictably engaging in shredding action when no paper had been inserted into it. One evening, I came home to a hot electrical smell in the house... went upstairs to realize the machine had been running on its own and was overheating... there was no paper in the shredder. I always unplug it now when not in use... which is a good safety precaution, but a bit of a pain. ... show more
