I ordered this paper shredder for use at home. I get a lot of statements and junk mail that I feel better about shredding as opposed to simply recycling. This shredder is all I could have asked for and more. The shredder was easy to use straight out of the box. The power cord was securely taped into the shredder bin, and was a good length to reach to the nearest power supply. The shredder works either by placing a pile of papers in the top bin, or by feeding paper into the top slot. Either way, the shredder quickly grasped the materials and turned them into tiny pieces of shredded paper. The bin is quite large, and I expect that it will be some time before it needs to be emptied. This shredder would also be useful for higher capacity usage, like the kind of usage it would get in an office environment, although there is a warning to not shred disks or staples. This may limit its use in some situations. The shredder was quieter than I expected while being used, and the clear window into the bin makes it fun to watch the shredded paper cascade in. This shredder has completely exceeded my expectations. I replaced a larger industrial model with this one and haven’t looked back. While it shreds fewer pages manually (12 vs. 18), the 200-sheet auto feeder more than makes up for it—just load it up and walk away. It handles staples, clips, and shreds everything into tiny, secure confetti, giving me real peace of mind. The design is surprisingly sleek for a shredder, and it’s quiet, easy to use, and thoughtfully built. The large, backlit buttons and status LEDs are a huge upgrade from my old LCD model. I also appreciate the small touches—like how standard 21-gallon trash bags fit perfectly, and the front hooks and rear clips keep everything tidy without messing with the sensor. Even with heavy daily use—shredding mail, documents, and years of old files during a big decluttering project—it’s never jammed or slowed down.     • GOOD shredder BUT..
It has a lot of issues with “self-feeding” and, sadly that was the ONLY feature I opted to purchase this in the first place. I attempted shredding a bunch of mail mixed with paper and, it wouldn’t feed itself. It is too particular on how you feed the paper. For the tag number on this shredder, I expected better performance. I had to unfold things and open the letters to attempt it for the last time but, no dice.     • Very heavy duty paper shredder
This is a fairly large and heavy paper shredder that is probably bigger than most of the paper shredders you will see marketed for home use. It could work in a small business office but it’s about half way between a home shredder and a true commercial grade office shredder. Set up was easy. Just unbox it and plug it in, then turn it on. Feeding sheets manually is a breeze. The automatic document feeder was a bit more finicky for me. If I put perfectly flat sheets in it worked fine. But if the sheets had any wrinkles in them it would just keep running non-stop without feeding any paper through. If you use it I would not recommend walking away from it while in operation so that you don’t burn out the motor. The unit is very quiet for a shredder of this size. It comes on wheels so it’s easy to move around. I tried putting a trash bag in but it didn’t hold in place. I’ll need to play around with it a bit to find the right size bag for it. I’ve gone through a bunch of cheap shredders over the years purchased in retail stores. They never seem to last longer than a year or so and if you run a lot through them they either jam up or burn out. I think this one is going to last for a long time. It cost about three times as much as a typical home shredder but for a unit that lasts and can handle heavy duty loads it’s a great value for the price. ... show more

    • The best shredder ever seen...
This shredder checks a lot of boxes, more boxes than I've ever seen: 1) Has an automatic feeder for up to 200 sheets at a time, so you can drop 200 sheets and walk away!! 2) Can shred staples/clips, saving lots of shredding prep time. 3) Shreds into tiny squares for added security!! 4) Shreds up to 12 pages of 20lb paper simultaneously. 5) Long run time of 30 minutes in manual mode, 60 minutes in auto feed mode. 6) Very quiet operation, you can barely hear it shredding!! Conclusion: It's difficult to find a shredder that checks all of the above boxes, and if you are lucky to find one in stock it will typically cost thousands of dollars, and will come with a one year warranty. It doesn't make sense to buy such a shredder for home use. But the Bonsaii makes perfect sense for only about $300. The shredded paper can be used to start your charcoal grill or fireplace. And you'll have greater security knowing that dumpster divers aren't stealing your personal information. Priceless!! ... show more
