This is certainly an upgrade to other shredders sold at retail stores. First of all, the packaging was impressive and the unit worked like it had turbochargers. My old shredder stopped after eight minutes but the Bonsaii went through 200 pages in less than five minutes. It also works quieted that my smaller unit. In one half hour I got 5 large trash bags filled with shredded paper. Regarding price, this was certainly worth the investment as it runs like a sports car. If you want more performance then the next shredder up is triple the price. Lots of research was done to get the best, all around shredder for my office and the Bonsaii was it!

LOVE IT! It saved me so much time in babysitting shredding. Do note, per their notation, I had removed staples and paperclips in advance — and I had no problem whatsoever. For the smaller than letter sized, I just put through manual slot feeder. Done in days vs. weeks.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I purchased this one for the 200 page auto shed. I watched videos on the best ones and this company was named for a lower paged shredder. I have 3 huge boxes of documents. I've had to empty the bin 5 times already and I've only shed half of the first box. Anyone need confetti? I'm very happy with it so far, as it arrived today. However, I am concerned because when it arrived the delivery guy/ gal dropped it at my door on cement. Nothing was broken on the outside and it's working fine today. Keeping my fingers crossed that nothing on the inside breaks from being dropped them used heavily. I only have 4 stars due to it being dropped at the door. I heard the thud it made when dropped. I was inside, across the room with doors and windows closed. It was a loud thud. I know the deliver person didn't know what was being delivered.

This shredder is a beast for the price. I bought it for bulk home shredding. I was able to shred a 17 gallon crate of papers in about 90 minutes straight. The stack feeder had no issues or jams. I ensured all papers were flat and closed the lid and the beast took care of the rest. The manual feeder is wide and deep and allows you to drop papers in there instead of feeding them. It eats stapes, even the heavy duty ones too. It shreds credit cards and CDs although not recommended but I only had a few and it ate it up with ease. I even shredded X-rays. The collection bin has good capacity which allows you to increase shredding time. I did have difficulty finding bags to fit in the bin. I am guessing there must be special bags for this unit. The mouth of the bin is rather wide therefore it was a challenge to empty the bin into a kitchen trash bag so you're better off emptying it into a 33 gallon trash bag. The unit never overheated and it sounds like there is a cooling fan running while you shred so that's another positive for longevity. The wheels are pretty good and handled running over grouted floor tiles. I'd highly recommend this shredder if you are on a budget and don't want to sacrifice too much on quality.

As a business owner I shred a lot of paper. Unfortunately, I do not have the time to shred as often as I should so my shred piles gets bigger and bigger and when I have time it can take hours. This unit lets me shred as I need and I don't have to stand there and watch it shred. I can put in 100 sheets at a time and it shreds them all by itself. No more feeding 8-20 sheets and jamming up. This is a time saver.

The Bonsai shedder works as advertised. It was larger and heavier than I expected but it has done the job of handling a large amount of paper without having to empty the bin too often. The one “critique” is the auto shred option all the papers need to letter size, anything smaller or oddly shaped you need to send through manually, not a big deal. Would recommend for home or office use.
