After receiving this product I applied as stated in the instructions (Twice a month in summer) and while I have not noticed major growth in our bonsai, I have also not noticed any burning/damage from this product, and with the age of the bonsai, I will take that as a win. stuck with the watering method which I think in the future I will stick to, but I would like to test the misting method as well.

My daughter picked up a bonsai tree at the local big box hardware store & was excited to learn the art of keeping a bonsai tree. Unfortunately, the poor thing seemed a little on the sickly side when we brought it home & it was dropping leaves like crazy. Ordered this fertilizer, which is a 2-2-2, and have been applying 1/2t in 16oz of distilled water every other week. Its been about two months now & the difference is obvious. It's had new branch growth, a few flowers have bloomed, and it has sprouted a bunch of thick, healthy leaves. Overall, the health of the plant seems to have improved drastically. The new leaves are a little large though, so I'm not sure if there's too much nitrogen in this, but I guess big leaves are better than no leaves at all. Regardless, we're still on the learning curve with this journey, so we'll keep tweaking our approach as we go, but this fertilizer has done a great job of perking up the sad little tree we brought home at the beginning of the summer.

I haven’t been able to use this yet since I’ve been unable to germinate my bonsai seeds from my bonsai kit yet. However, when I do manage to germinate, this solution should last a very long time. This bottle is 8oz. There are 48 teaspoons in 8oz so with a serving size of ½ a teaspoon per 16oz of water ever 1-2 weeks, this should last a very long time before needing to get more bonsai fertilizer.

It doesn’t seem to bother my bonsai when measure it into the can and use it a a pour style watering. And it doesn’t cause burns when I measure it and use it as the misting in my spray bottle. So, as bonsai grow slowly it is difficult to see positive growth due to this fertilizer. However, damaging things happen fast. And as I see no negative side affects, this is a decent product.

I used this on a few of my bonsai. It's hard to tell if this has helped my bonsai, as I don't see a difference. It's also possible that they still have ample nutrients or that I timed it perfectly. My bonsai have been doing great, so the most I can say is that this didn't harm my bonsai.

I ordered the 8oz size as I only have 1 bonsai. 1 teaspoon per quart of water is the recommended mixture. That's 48 quarts of mixture per bottle. Making it 16 cents ($7.99 per bottle at the time of this review) per quart. I actually break the mixture down to 1 cup, so I only use 1/4 t. This bottle will last me quite a long time. I have only used it once since it arrived. I don't know if it's a coincidence or the fertilizer but I have several new tiny little leaves. I will update this review if my plant has any adverse side effects.

Super easy to use bonsai fertilizer. I typically add a bit of this to my spray bottle and mist my plants with it and they seem to be enjoying it! I've got great growth and my little bonsais are doing wonderfully so far!
