"Natural" does NOT mean "not poisonous." Arsenic, cyanide, and poisonous mushrooms are all "natural" products that can kill you. Likewise, three of the "natural" ingredients in this product are poisonous to dogs. This product smells like a mild perfume and keeps my dog from chewing things, but the bitter flavor wears off after awhile. This is where it gets dangerous, because if you spray something, and the dog ends up eating it later, they can get sick. When our dog started having diarrhea every couple of hours (over night also, BTW), I started researching the ingredients in this product since we had just started using it. I found out that the Peppermint oil, Tea Tree Oil, and Clove Oil in this product are all poisonous to dogs. I stopped using it immediately and the diarrhea stopped. I have now a 7month old puppy and he off and on decides to pull large clumps of grass from various areas in my condo community. I don't want him to for many reasons and am not winning the war... I am pretty keen now to when he's going to go for it and will spray spots while or before he's doing it and it works! I actually tasted it and it's bitter and lingers for a few but Not overbearing. Not exactly what description says to use for so wanted others to know this technique I've tried is working:-) Of course don't spray to close to their eyes and I don't use as a go to for any ol thing or a punishment and am hoping to not at all eventually... After several weeks of trying to get our GSD to stop licking a boo boo....and making it worse... I tried Bodhi Dog and it worked immediately. The scent is quite nice for humans but the dog looked at me like "What IS that smell!?" The great thing about this product is that it keeps him from obsessively licking AND it heals the wound. So far so good! We have a husky who realllly loves our couch cushions and also our German shepherds fur! So far this has been a good deterrent. It smells like perfume and she really seems to hate the scent. I sprayed a little in her mouth so see how she reacted and she was not very happy! So I have high hopes this will work! We are also getting ready to move to from Seattle so Texas so I’m worried about her chewing my car seats during the drive so hopefully this works for that too! ... show more

The smell is kinda stinky not something that makes my dog want to lick his paw (which is AWSOME, because I've been struggling to get him to stop. I do think its starting to work though. Gave 3/5 stars because mine came and it had leaked all over in the package and the cap is broken so its really hard to use and get the product out. Definitely keeps my puppy away from anything we spray this on. Sometimes we don’t even have to spray it, he backs away and finds something else to do. He loves to chew our rugs and once he smelled this - he would back off. I definitely got a taste of the bitterness once or twice after spraying it - it’s awful! The scent isn’t so bad. I was very skeptical since it said all natural but this stuff is worth every penny. I put it on my dog's leg that she wouldn't stop chewing on & it worked instantly. She hated the smell or taste & would not even touch her leg. She slept all night without waking us up. The next morning I looked at it & the redness was gone. The scent goes away fast.
