Update: I was contacted by customer service and they were very willing to resolve my issue as quickly as possible. I received compensation for the hardware purchase and for the inconvenience caused. I've owned other Bodega coolers in the past. I'm sure my experience this time is atypical. Bodega is still my cooler of choice. I bought this cooler for a road trip. The unit was packaged well. However, I noticed after removing it from the packaging, that the screws that hold the compressor cover were all missing. Very disappointing. It doesn’t seem like the unit was returned. Everything else was in like-new condition. I’d didn’t have the time to start a return before leaving for our trip. So I went to the hardware store to purchase the small screws and machine bolts needed to secure the cover properly. Everything seems to be working fine. Fridge is quiet and works well keeping drinks and lunch items nice and cool. Looks like Bodega missed a quality assurance step during manufacturing.

The app is the negative for this unit. I had to enter my 2.4gHZ wi-fi router password to connect the app to the cooler. It took several attempts to connect the app to the cooler. I immediately changed my routers password because this is the first app to ever ask for my router's password. Generally i,f my phone is connected to a 2.4gHZ wi-fi router, apps does not require my wifi router password. I tried my phones hotspot wifi and that did not work. Also, 5.0gHZ wifi will not work with the app. In the end, the app really was not needed to control the unit. Perhaps telling you the refrigerators temperature instead of looking at the unit is the only advantage. The manual cooler controls set the power to ECO or MAX, provide different temps on each side of the cooler, and a battery protection setting. THE COOLER HAS GREAT FEATURES SO I KEPT THE COOLER. 1. The dual zones can be independently controlled at different temperature. 2.Both zones can be used as a freezer. 3. Each zone has a removable basket. So you can prep your food and cool your food in your refrigerator and freezer. Carry an empty cooler to your vehicle instead of a heavier loaded cooler. Then insert your food baskets. 4. Each cooler door can be reversed to open in a different direction. 5. Each cooler door has a pressure click lock to ensure closure. 6, The cooler door gasket is adequate but not great. Wish there a larger gasket that over lapped a gasket track. 7. Two different cooler zones sizes is great for different cooling needs. 8. The Economy setting vs Max setting helps with the battery utilization. I do see a 4 degree temp shift on Economy setting after a 4 hrs. 9. Power source - I have a 330w lithium portable battery and a 100w solar panel for off grid power. Cooler to battery and battery to solar panel. I can also run the cooler in my car connected to the lithium battery and the battery connected to my car's 12V port. When the car engine is off, the cooler electric is provided by the lithium battery. 10. Weight - I normally carry a bear proof roto seal cooler. I don't see much weight difference between the same sized roto seal cooler and this cooler with a compressor. I have not been in extreme hot weather for days to tell how well the cooler's insulation will maintain the cooler temperature and the battery draw required.

I already have a Bodega 47qt cooler, but it is to big for short trips. This 18qt cooler is perfect! Quiet, cools quickly and plenty of room for a 1-2 day drive. Simple control panel and easy to read display.

I use this for camping in Nevada where it gets extremely hot and this cooler works great I recommend getting a solar generator and solar panels to run it. Great value and runs very quiet. Size is great.

I put it to use as a freezer. This cooler get very cold and works great as a small freezer inside the house. This summer I'll be using it while camping and at the beach. I'm confident that it will do a great in the warmer environment based on its current performance. The best part though is it is very quiet. You can hear when you get close but otherwise the sound is very reasonable and not irritating. I'm very happy with this product.

It caomes with great packaging, with foam covering the entire refrigerator. I purchased it mainly for camping; it can be powered using car plug, solar energy, or household electricity, and it has great energry efficiency. I have no issues using it as a freezer. The compressor sound is reasonable. The detachable lid makes it more convenientto use as you can place it in different direction. I also like the water drain hole at the bottom of the fridge, which makes cleaning easy. Overall, it is a great small fridge for road trips or camping. Recommended!
