We purchased this set awhile ago. After shipping delays, which were communicated & agreed to, we received & began assembly. It was truly a puzzle as there were diagrams but no actual instructions or videos we could refer to. We ended up taking several layers apart as the fit is very particular for the finished product to perform. While assembling we identified one of the pieces had been repaired, not by us, but didn't affect function so we decided we could live with that blemish. At the end we were 10 screws short and the seller did replace them (with a substantial delay due to Chinese New Year). We have finally finished! We purchased a separate 10" mattress which fits perfectly & doesn't interfere with closing even with mattress cover & sheets. The depth of the shelves (15") makes them very functional for all sorts of storage. We chose to build the entire unit into our wall (photos) & can't wait for our first guest! We are using the attached cabinetry to extend the use of the room & couldn't be happier! Good quality for the money. Be sure you have the patience to put it together or you will be unhappy. It took 1 person four 6 hour days to construct. Several hours to deconstruct & reconstruct multiple times. Some diagrams could have been clearer. ... show more

We just completed the construction and installation of this queen bed product. It arrives in two heavy boxes, so big that I thought they were two beds. I contacted the seller and learned that one had a -1 box suffix and the other had a -2. Whew! First bullet dodged because I almost sent one box back. This is a monster to put together. I paid two young guys for 4.5 hours of nonstop work. You must be careful that the wall box is square before you attach the top and bottom to the wall. We found a middle stud for the middle hole of the wall frame and used metal drills to drill through the metal frame for the studs on either side. (The predrilled holes are further apart than U.S. studs) Thanks to other reviews, I knew this going in. Another review showed a different product collapsed and ripped off the wall because it was held to the wall ONLY with drywall anchors. Don't do that - DANGEROUS. Take the time and hit three studs, top and bottom. Some pluses: fit and finish, notches on each lower side of the frame to go around baseboard, a fabric headboard, good instructions, price, looks good. Be careful putting the bed frame together, Part 3 has holes for the mattress holders so they don't fall down behind the bed. The middle and outside frames have specific fixed holes for additional parts. Study the plans or you will transpose Parts 3 and 4. (Part 3 goes at the head of the bed nearest the wall.) We did transpose them and drilled the holes into Part 4 for the mattress holders. We got the inner rails upside down, despite good pictures, and had to take most of the bed frame apart to put on the black holders for the wood cross pieces. When we first tried to fold it up, it hit the box frame on the left side. You could force it in, but there was a bigger gap on the right side than on the left. My installer removed the lower screws from the wall and "bumped" the wall box to the right about 3/4 of an inch until both sides were even, then drilled new stud holes in the wall studs, and screwed the lower support back in. Problem fixed, we had needed to make sure the top sides of the wall box were square BEFORE we positioned it on the center stud and drilled the other two top holes and the two bottom holes. The lift mechanism works well, and it is easy for my wife to pull it down and put it back up. Looks great in our guest room. Great customer service too. Two of the front panels came with some scuffs at bottom, so we contacted customer service. They sent us new panels but they did take about two months to arrive. No extra charge. Be aware this takes a long time to set up and you need power tools. Took my experienced husband about 14 hours. He needed a second set of hands for a small portion of it. The hardest part was definitely bolting it to the wall. ... show more

This is hands-down the worst product I’ve ever purchased on Amazon, and it’s not close. I have sunk at least 15 hours into this thing. Assembled it, and it broke. Ordered replacement parts — half of them showed up bowed, warped, and damaged straight out of the box. Rebuilt it, and it broke again. During installation the unit shattered — the materials are so cheap and brittle they can’t survive being put together, never mind mounted on a wall and folded down over someone. This is furniture that hangs over your head at night, and it can’t hold itself together. That is a safety hazard, full stop. Then there’s the “support.” Completely unreasonable and utterly unhelpful — slow, copy-pasted replies that dodged every question and took zero accountability. They are clearly foreign and are copying and pasting responses from Google Translate. No refund, so I tried working with them on replacing parts. It still fell apart. I have never felt more ripped off by a purchase this size. Do not waste your money, your weekend, or your safety on this. Buy literally anything else. ... show more

Cabinet looks great and works well. I was able to put it together by myself (69 year old female!) my husband has dementia so not able to help! Most of the directions were ok, not great, just ok, you need to pay attention and look at the pictures. Quality seems good. What I didn't like was the doors on the side cabinets do not line up correctly, and the adjustments on the hinges is not enough to make them even and not scrape together. The bed came with gold handles, the cabinets came with black. Not sure why? There is about 1 1/2" difference between the height of the bed cabinet and the side cabinets. I plan to put a piece of flat trim up there. I added clear floral cling to the windows. customer service deserves 6 stars!! I was missing one package of 42 bolts. I purchased them from my local hardware store, they reimbursed me within 24 hours of contacting CS! I recommend this product!! ... show more

It looks very nice from afar and the bed mechanics seem like it will hold up well, but the wood is very cheap and has a lot of defects. I can see nail holes, a lot of the edges are worn off exposing the wood color underneath, parts of the panels have bubbling paint or scrapes. If you are wanting a heavy duty Murphy bed, this isn’t for you. If you need something cheap and with storage then this will be just fine. This will ship in 3 separate boxes at different times, so be prepared for that. Tracking was all off for it and we didn’t know when they were arriving. ... show more

I was worried about putting this together. 4 large heavy boxes showed up via FedEx. I was curious if I would open the correct box first and I did. There are 2 smaller boxes, those are the 2 side pieces, those I did last. The instructions are really easy to understand, it definitely helps to have 2 people put it together, you will definitely need 2 people for a couple portions of the build. It really does look great. We only have plans to use ours once in a great while, so the unit itself is a very nice piece of furniture. ... show more
