I got this outdoor carpet to prevent more wear to the plywood outside one of our doors, not the normal marine application. It adheres well to the plywood and so far has survived freezing weather, rain, and snow. The felt feels soft but has held up to foot traffic for the past several days. I am going to get more to cover the rest of the plywood and put on our aluminum dock to prevent damage to our kayaks & canoes as we are putting them in and out of the water.     • Better than raw wood.

Got this to carpet the new bunks on my boat trailer. After tearing into them I realized 13' is not enough to recarpet two 7' bunks, so I cut it in half making it 6" wide instead of 12". Kind of tough to cut through but it did cut clean. The adhesive on the back size stuck plenty well enough till I could put the staples in it. I feel in and out of the water, and the heat of the summer would quickly unpeel it because wood just doesn't hold to adhesive well, so staples are needed. I have always used actual carpet. This woven fiber is more like felt only much tighter and thicker. We will see how it holds up after the first trip to the water and its longevity. I think it will hold up well. Only bad part is in packaging. It ccomes folded. Those folds are a bit difficult to lay back flat. I think if it was rolled up instead of tight folds it would be easier to handle. ... show more

Moving and have to use my Magic Tilt trailer for the first time in 20 years, so it needed some refurbishing. This size carpet will cover the two new 64" long wood bunks perfectly.

    • Bought for a spring project

I got this to carpet my bunkboard come spring. While I haven't installed yet, I did compare it to another name-brand carpet I purchased, and I didn't see any difference in texture nor build quality. Solid buy, not sure how good the adhesive is but I intended on using staples and auxiliary adhesive.
