I got the purple bulb for Halloween mood lighting and I'm pretty happy with it. The color may be just a bit pink (I know it looks a bit blue in the picture), but it's not bad for Halloween. My main issue (for my purposes) is that the bulb is REALLY bright--like possibly too bright for Halloween spookiness. In the attached picture you can see that it brightly illuminates the who porch area--and that's when dimmed to about 30%. For my purposes that's OK because it makes for better security and also safer entry on Halloween night. But I'd have a hard time recommending this bulb (for Halloween) if you don't have a dimmer. ... show more

The red and green lights are not deep color, they’re pale and look lame next to my neighbors’ lights they use. The orange and purple are OKAY, but I’d look elsewhere if you’re wanting true red and green. The red and orange look very similar- more orange.
