Update: So the company reached out about my original review and worked to get me a new pair. The new pair sounds great. That weird can like echo is gone. Also the glitch isn't there either. The company was super polite and so nice about helping me get a pair that suited me. I do a lot of shifting at work and I need to listen to something to break up the monotony of it all. Original: What's the point if they fail so often? Update: I'd say 3.5 starts I'm not convinced with the durability of or quality of this product, but the company cares enough that they monitor the reviews and see that I'm a "repeat customer". When I placed another order a couple days ago, Amazon alerted me that I've already purchased 3 of this same product from the same vendor. The earpiece company reached out to me and offered to refund my current purchase and to keep the product as a free replacement from previous failures. I received my refund confirmation from Amazon just now. I should not have kept buying replacements. I should have reached out to the company. They would have taken care of me from the start. Its tough to sell the world's least expensive and decent functioning headset, with a higher than normal failure rate, but they are doing their best to keep the customers satisfied. Why did I buy another? At $17 it is very cheap. When it works, it works well. Sound is fine, I'm not an audiophile. I was about to go with other's recommendation to get an open air Shokz. Seems nice, but at $170, ten times the price of the Boean, I hesitate. If Boean is willing to stand behind their product, I can stay with them a while longer. ... show more

Believe it or not, this is my third pair. Why? Because I have lost the others. But at this price, it doesn't hurt to replace them. I also love how they attach - you can let the cord either hang from behind when you are jogging or running or have it hang in front - when you are working or constantly need to use only one earpiece (multitasking while podcast listening). Also - I have ears that JUST WON'T HOLD on to Apple iPods - arrrgghhh. These fit great and come with several size plugs, so your earhole size isn't a problem. The sound is really good. Audio for phone calls is spotty. I have been told I sound like I'm in a tunnel or far away. ... show more

I'm an active guy. I workout and walk walk four times a week and as can imagine means lots of perspiration. Individual in the ear buds were always slipping out and in some instances actually fall out. I tried these and have loved the way they fit and stay in my ears despite all the sweat. I especially like the fact that they are tethered together, thus reducing the chance of losing one when you have to take one out to engage in other activities, etc. I liked the first set so much, I just ordered a second set for use when I am working in the yard. I bought these to wear on the motorcycle. They are definitely not noise canceling, but they block a lot of the wind noise and you can still hear traffic coming up on you even with the music at just so I can hear it. I gave it a 4 because the right bud doesn’t fit quite right and it could be my ear canal is wonky. (but I’ve never had a problem before) Tried all the different cushions, but didn’t help. I’m now using cushions that came from elsewhere and it helped somewhat. Music clarity is meh, but for the price and the ability to lose things is perfect!
