  • A GREAT BROAD USE CONTROLLER
Color: Black
I’ve used a lot of controllers in my life, but there’s a really cool balance of price to broad compatibility that this controller has that I really like. It’ll work over usb, bluetooth, or even a 2.4g dongle that comes included. It probably wouldn’t work on an xbox since they tamped down on third party stuff and I doubt it would work with playstation but you’re good to go with anything else. It has a switch mode but can also run on pc, mac, or any mobile. It comes with a phone clip that slots in nicely and keeps the phones weight over the top of the controller which I find to be a comfortable spot, and has a plastic plate that goes over the slot if you don’t want to use the phone clip so it looks like a normal controller. That brings me to the customization of this thing. It has fun RGB options that you can adjust on the controller, you have color and brightness options or can set it to cycle colors. There are a bunch of function buttons on the back that you can bind other buttons to or program macros for button combinations or turbo inputs. There’s even a button to hold to activate gyro that assumes the input of the left stick. Those back buttons also let you change the vibration intensity and there are two motors that can trigger independently too. The buttons and triggers feel good and it has duplicate left and right trigger buttons for quicker inputs than the full through triggers which is cool and the sticks feel great. They have textured grips and smaller recesses in the tops that let the thumbs stay on top pretty well without sliding. The sticks are also a little taller than normal too which I like. The controller charges fast enough and seems to last a good long while. You can do a ton with this thing and really set it to run how you like but all those wild options are in good positions to not have to deal with erroneous inputs. I’d say grab this thing if you want to try a highly customizable controller or just need a good pad with broad compatibility. The asking price is great for this class of controller too. ... show more

  • Great controller
Color: Black
This is easily the best third-party controller I have ever owned. Blows anything I've ever owned by 8BitDo out of the water. Packed with features and has an excellent build quality. Feels great in the hand. My ONLY gripe is that the back paddle buttons are somewhat easy to press by accident, but this may just be a me thing and the buttons can be turned off entirely, so not worth docking a star for. ... show more

  • Pretty Good
Color: Black
For the price compared to some other universal controllers makes it seem like it might not be that good but when I tried it out it was amazing! I was also interested in the axis motion feature but that was the only downside, it's cool but not really sharp still works well in some situations all it takes is a little practice and it could be a big advantage in some games but when you use it, it gets shaky and you can't really aim precisely. It doesn't feel cheaply made and connecting it has never been faster. Want to play on my phone boom! Laptop? Boom within 10 seconds of each other. My TV? Bam! Don't know about tesla though😔 Anyway I did have a problem with the app, I could explore a bit more but it not very clear on how to set the buttons. I bring it with me everywhere, bored? Pull it out hit one button then I'm connected within 5 seconds. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • CHEAP JUNK!
Color: White
I thought this was a good third-party game controller until 1 of the 4 back buttons broke. I asked my son to fix it for me, and just the force of popping the two pieces of the outer shell apart, broke the remaining 3 back buttons off as well. Why was that so easy to do? Because all that was holding each of those buttons on was 2 thin pieces of plastic about 0.5mm wide and 1mm (see photos for reference). Not exactly built to last. ... show more

  • Could be an excellent controller for the price, some caveats.
Color: Black
This controller has several things going for it, and maybe just a couple not. I like (and is the primary reason I made the purchase) the FOUR rear buttons. There are many controllers these days with rear buttons, the vast majority of them seemingly have two. Which would probably be amazing for someone that's never had them before, but all my controllers either have 4 or can install 4 total. I may not always use them all, but even if I'm just using two sometimes I like for them to be on the same side, I enjoy having that configuration flexibility. The rear buttons of this controller are in a slightly odd position for my hands, I wish they could have been closer to the bottom of the grips, but it's a minor adjustment. I do like that the buttons are placed vertically and not some other nonsensical configuration. I like that there is no rubber coating on the body, the grip texture on the back is actually a fine pattern of micro bumps molded into the plastic. Felt a little strange at first, but I find myself liking it a lot the more I use it. The face buttons feel good, the Hall triggers feel really good, the sticks (once I put some covers on them) feel good although I wish they had Hall sensors like the triggers. I have mixed feelings of the bumpers, they're positioned well and are easy enough to operate, but I don't like the click and how loud they are. Not a deal breaker to me, but I do wish the actuation was softer. I don't particularly care for the gyro function, but it was never my intent to use it anyway. I tested the gyro briefly, mostly by accident, one of the rear buttons is configured by default to activate the gyro. It mentions this in the instructions, but I guess I still wasn't really expecting it. Basically like all motions controls, it sort of "works," but is mostly a flaky and useless gimmick. I'd have preferred to lose the gyro and gain Hall sticks, but such is life. The D-pad feels good to me, probably about as good as the face buttons. I don't know how well it would do with a fighting game, I haven't really played those in decades, but for my purposes it works fine. I probably wouldn't use a controller like this for a fighting game anyway, I'd prefer something shaped more like a classic SEGA 6-button or a SNES pad. The hardest part of operating this controller was actually finding a device that the configuration software would work with. I started with my phone, which has a MediaTek chipset. The KeyLinker software mentions at startup that it may not work correctly with MTK hardware. The app was able to detect the controller, but could not actually interface with it. Fortunately, I have other devices to test with, so YMMV. Took a few tries, but I did eventually wind up connecting it to a device that worked, a Galaxy S7. Once up and running, the configuration software worked great. My controller was already running the newest available firmware. The app has an advanced mode which gives more granular control over the various options, especially the deadzones. There are sections for key binding and macro management, although the controller itself is able to do some things like rebindings directly. After a few minutes of testing I'd had my sticks and triggers adjusted perfectly, was even able to set a custom sleep timer. The controller comes with a detachable phone holder, it seems pretty sturdy to me, although my phone is quite small and very light anyway. There's a cover around the USB port that slides off to expose the attachment point for the phone holder. I haven't had any connection issues. Aside from the mobile app quirks, but the connections were fine, my issue was finding a device the app worked correctly on. I have no Switch to test the Switch connection. I've been using it with an Xbox One, connected through a Brook Wingman XB by bluetooth. The wireless dongle it comes with also seems to work fine, to get that to work correctly with the Wingman it had to be in XInput mode. Switch Pro mode mostly worked, although the triggers were digital. DirectInput mode did not appear to be compatible with the Wingman. For the price I paid, and considering the features they managed to stuff in, I think this is a really nice controller. Maybe not as nice as my collection of PowerA Fusions, or Xbox Elite, but it's half the price or less compared to some other devices. As is, I think the controller is a good value. If you have a device that can run the companion app correctly and are able to calibrate the controller, it's a VERY good value. ... show more
