I do understand these are amazon specials.. That does not account for them to be a heavy product that amazon drivers would rather throw around then treat with respect. (understanding break) That being said they are stored in a warehouse where their main objective is not furniture. (I HOPE) These are garbage, yes they do go together.. they do stand up. However thats it. Piece's do not line up with the hole they provide you you have to make things work as you go. The majority of corners are damaged when you open the box, any stickers for labeling peel the paint back. takes 3x as long to build. due to things not working together they way they should be and the way the directions describe and more than anything, once you build them prepare to throw them away when you move. they will not come back apart without shattering pieces' due to the oversized threaded lock down nuts. and to be honest they would never make even the simplest of a moving day. Reaching out to amazon wont matter they wont replace anything they want them returned nut they would literally fall apart to take back apart, then to be expected to pick up the deck of cards and return them in the box they came in, remember that box from amazon warehouse with a ton of other things there and what not. 50lbs shelves are not a top priority of them around there (understanding pause) Once these shelves arrive at your door the boxes will be barely hanging on. GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED. After a week not response from anyone guess ill live with these shelves until i throw them out of a window.. save your money buy something better. anything just not these.. I purchased this for my son and while the majority of the material was okay quality, the backboards that you nail to the frame is incredibly thin and cheap cardboard. I feel like a poster board you’d get your kid to do a project would be better quality. I get that shipping large back pieces probably would required creativity, but even foam board would be better. The finished product isn’t the most sturdy. It will work for my son and now that I’ve put it together, I’m going to keep it but if it makes it a few months I’d be surprised ... show more

Missing so many screws, missing a cardboard back plate. DO NOT BUY USED, do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to buy brand new!

    • Don’t waste your money
The media could not be loaded. They tricked me with the “thick” or “wide” shelves. The shelves are NOT thick with this option. There is simply a little piece that hangs down that makes the shelves appear thicker. The back paneling is SO flimsy. I don’t like how you can see all the holes in the sides. They need to make the holes black so you can’t see them as well. That would make it look less cheap. SPEND YOUR MONEY ON SOMETHING BETTER quality even if it’s more expensive. Find some real wood bookshelf on Facebook marketplace. Don’t buy this unless you want something cheap. It does the job. Looks better with all the books on it. ... show more

They are very thin and flimsy. Not meant to support too much weight. They look good until you get close and see it is very thin particle board.

I did read the reviews before buying this and I had kinda high hopes. But I have had this bookshelf for 4 months and it’s already breaking…. The middle is starting to break to where the top half the bookshelf is leaning 1 way and the bottom half is leaning the opposite way. I had to take all my books off the shelf ( not many only filled the self halfway) so that way the bookshelf didn’t snap in half🤦♀️🤦♀️ this bookshelf is maybe worth $40 at the most, it’s good for a temporary bookshelf. But this shelf didn’t even last me 5 months so if you are looking for a sturdy bookshelf that will last you a long time I do not recommend getting this ... show more

I was very happy with the condition of the item as I bought it used. After assembly, it looked great but the structure barely supports a full load of small books. The back panels are not sturdy enough to hold the sides together. Overall cheap rating in all areas.
