Its 60 W is more than enough to make the CD player in it create a decent environment of 16 bit by 44 MHz of music with adequate, soothing treble and noticeable bass. Solidly built, I love the fact that it's encased in wood and not plastic. The sound quality is great, and the fact that it comes with a 3-year extended warranty. It could use a bit more bass, but for the price, it's hard to beat! Therefore, I'd give this 4 and a half stars.

WOW, UNEXPECTED SURPRISE! Everything worked...played CD beginning to end no problems, we preset, programmed 17 FM stations but, you can set 30 stations. Clarity, crisp sound that "packs a punch"! Comes with antenna if you need (we needed to swerve it on only 1 station to get rid of static and it was clear as a bell...easy adjustment). You can register for a 3 year warranty online! It also has Aux, USB, Bluetooth, many extra features we didn't use. Outside case looks beautiful and easily sits on a end table, counter or shelf. You can' t go wrong for this price! Very happy.h

Big problem is the remote was missing. I have tried to contact the company, but the link on Amazon does not work. Amazon's choices for this problem do not exist. I hope Oakcastle management reads this review and sends one to me. I am not inclined to go through the hassle of returning this product as otherwise the sound is good. Just be aware you buy this at your own risk.

Im really happy with my purchase. It is very well made and easy to use. Its enclosed in a beautiful black wood cabinet that is very solid and heavy. The speakers are large and give a very clean powerful sound. It plays all cds- even the ones that were made on a CD recorder. The cd and bluetooth and radio play very well. It has plenty of power and can play as loud as you want and can be heard all over the house. I have mine in the kitchen and it is a perfect pair for Amazon Music for crystal clear streaming of my favorite songs. i would highly recommend this unit

Really wanted to like this little stereo. I was looking for a small CD player for my bedroom, and this seemed perfect. Compact size, good sound, seemed to be well constructed. Unfortunately, when I tried listening to CDs, I noticed that the unit would randomly stop in the middle of a track and turn itself off. I would turn it back on, and it would pick up at whatever random point in the CD it stopped at. Always in the middle of a song. I hoped this was a fluke, but it did this every single time, with multiple CDs. I exchanged the original unit I bought for an identical one, hoping I just got a "bad one" the first time. No such luck. The replacement unit did the same thing. It would not play a CD all the way through. I will be returning this and getting something else.

This is a great radio and CD player, but I hope the company improves some of the design in the future. I'm glad that the CD tray is a slide-out, rather than a slot-in. My CDs stay cool and don't get heated this way. I'm also glad there's a remote and instruction manual (which some companies don't even bother with). The sound is great once you adjust the treble, bass and volume to your liking. However, I'm not having any success in setting radio stations. It identified 30 stations and set them automatically when I hit Scan. I can't seem to set them manually (maybe I simply don't know how), but when I tuned in to one of them and hit the Program button, it didn't seem to make any difference. When I hit the buttons to tune back and forth, it stops at each station it automatically programmed in and I have to hit the button again to keep going. Please make it simpler in the future for an individual to program the channels themselves. I also do not like the Power button that sits on Standby; this should power On/Off instead of On/Standby. I do not like the big Volume button in the middle that's useless. This should've been replaced by number buttons that can have radio stations programmed to them. Other than the design problems, I have no complaints with function and sound. Please make these more user-friendly in the future.
