  • It works and the latency is near zero. Impressive for the price.
This review is for BlueAVS Audio Video Capture Cards HDMI to USB 1080p USB2.0 Record via DSLR Camcorder Action Cam with USB Extension Cable. Model number is BLAVCCUSB20IN. It works. The latency is near zero. It will do 60fps at 720p or less. It's really great as an entry capture card for a Twitch streamer who is just starting out (if you have an HDMI splitter also to get output to monitor). This will capture your 720p consoles at 60fps and output at the same. Higher resolutions are 30fps only. I was unable to test at 4K, but 2K did work @30fps. I read in another review that someone was unable to capture audio from this device in OBS. This does work, but not similar to Elgato devices. On the BlueAVS, the video and audio devices are separate and need to be added into OBS scenes individually. I used instructions I found in the comments of a YouTube video. 1) Plug in your console's HDMI into the video capture usb. 2) download OBS studio 3) In OBS under SOURCES, add an "audio input capture" and set DEVICE to "digital audio interface (USB digital audio)". Click OK. 4) Right click in the AUDIO MIXER, and select "Advanced audio properties" 5) here, go to "audio input capture" (the one we created in step 3), and set "audio monitoring" to "Monitor and output" You will now hear your console's sound. 6) in OBS under "sources", add a "video capture device". 7) In the properties for the just added video capture device set these options: - Set DEVICE to "USB video" - set RESOLUTION/FPSTYPE to "custom" - set RESOLUTION to 1280x720 - set FPS to 60 ... show more

  • It's working great
I bought this on the recommendation of a YouTube demo on how to convert your VHS videos into digital videos. It works great! I'm well on my way to converting my 30 year old videos into digital format so that I can have them longer, share them, etc.

  • Mono Audio
It's good for what it is, however beware it is MONO audio. This capture card has no stereo capability.

  • Great result on 34-year-old VHS tape
After 2 failed attempts of using inexpensive and popular type of capture card, I purchased this and it performed well rendering a quality VHS digital transfer. This product couple with an ABLEWE RCA to HDMI Converter, 1080P AV to HDMI RCA Composite CVBS Video Audio Converter Adapter Supporting PAL/NTSC for Xbox/PS2/Wii/SNES/N64/VHS/VCR/DVD, did an excellent job. ... show more

  • Way More Latency Than Indicated...
The quality of the video and audio pass-through is fine for the capture card. I knew there would be some latency (it's a low price for a capture card, after all), but this absolutely is not an "ultra-low latency" product as we were led to believe. The audio and video lag are around 250-300 ms in every single application I've tried. Disabling audio and changing quality settings on my Lumix G100 camera (which I'm using as a webcam) does not improve the latency. It is consistent on the capture card. 0.3 seconds of latency is not small when you're trying to use this for a camera/webcam. It's extremely noticeable and requires a fair bit of work to sync up to anything else you're using - such as multiple camera/mic setups. This would be fine for saving videos, but you should not buy this for low latency uses or for webcams. ... show more

  • Works great for adding 2nd Canon camera
I needed a solution to use two Canon cameras (DSLR and mirrorless R5) at the same time. Canons Webcam Utility only utilizes one camera at time. OBS and Discord recognized the Camera just fine. It can be seen with the other DSLR camera connected via the Canon Webcam Utility running at the same time now. In OBS/Discord video settings, the capture card shows as USB Video next to Canon webcam utility showing as USB Webcam Utility. My Windows 10 PC worked with no alterations but if yours does not, you might have to change the Windows camera permissions (Start > Settings > Privacy > Camera). It only outputs up to 1080p, but that's all I need for live streaming. If I needed to record at 4k, I would have to get a more expensive solution like an Elgato, so it more than fits the price point. Hope that helps. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I AM SO HAPPY! This product is exactly what was described! I got everything set up in less than 2 minutes! There is absolutely 0 reason to buy one of those expensive capture cards that are $300. I was able to plug in my console to my PC and now I can start streaming my games on Twitch! Underrated product!
