For reference I bought a large in black. I am 5'6" @ 155lbs. I bought this product to use while working weddings since you can't hold a camera and an umbrella at the same time. I was happy to see that the hood was larger than most raincoats and actually covered my entire head with my hair down. I wish the hood was a bit more oversized to fit on days I have my hair up with a claw clip or in a bun, part of my head is exposed. The quality of this raincoat is amazing. It's also surprisingly soft. The fit was good on my body but the length of the sleeves was a little short. I'm thinking of exchanging and getting an XL, maybe that will be a better fit for me. ... show more

I like the stylish look and can be used just as a flattering jacket even if you don't use it as a raincoat. However, I DO NOT LIKE THE PACKAGING !!! It came in a flimsy clear plastic zip bag (zip bag was partially open) when it arrived. Sending anything in a clear bag is ridiculous since the contents are in full view for all to see. This is a really nice lightweight rain jacket that is stylish and feels like it is decent quality. I normally wear a large, but it just felt too roomy for me and the sleeves were a little long so I decided to try a medium …thanks to Amazons quick shipping. I was able to determine that indeed the medium was a better fit for me. I do not want to wear it with a sweater although I probably still could. I just need a summer/early fall raincoat for travel.. very happy with my purchase and I will wear it on the plane and put a few things I need in the pockets. ... show more

Sometimes it can be so hard to get the right fit when shopping on line. This wasn't the case this time. It's a true medium. I really like the length to help keep you drier. I can wear it open or zip it up easily with room. Don't get a lot of rain living in the desert but when it rains.....it rains. Bought this coat for an August trip to Ireland where we were told to be prepared for rain showers, wind, and damp, cool climates, especially in the coastal regions. This coat performed wonderfully in all weather situations. It's lined which adds an extra layer for warmth and wind blockage, and it kept me dry in the rain, even without an umbrella. Well constructed. It is stylish, fits true to size, and has an adjustable inner drawstring at the waist for better fit. I am considering buying this coat in other colors. I received this just in time for an outdoor event that ended up wet. I’m 5’4” and ordered the Medium. I wanted a longer rain jacket, this comes to my knees. It is lightweight yet kept me warm from the cool, damp air. I highly recommend this jacket.
