I love to cook and I enjoy trying different foods and cooking techniques. I've seen sous vide used many times on various cooking shows and finally decided to try it. First, about this sous vide machine: ✅It's super easy to use: put it on your pot or container, add water, set the time and temperature and press start. ✅It's quiet and just makes a whisper of a sound ✅The display shows the water temperature and remaining cook time ✅It can run up to 99 hours which is great for doing ribs or a large roast ✅It easy to clean - just detach the metal base tube, rinse, dry, reattach and store it away. What's great about sous vide cooking is that it's pretty worry free. Since you're cooking to a set temperature it's nearly fool-proof. Foods won't overcook or burn like they will if you leave the chicken in the oven too long or forget about the steak on the grill. Meats and seafood can be cooked directly from the freezer without thawing. They'll just take a while longer. As with braising, foods cook longer and at a lower temperature so meats, even tougher cuts, come out amazingly tender and juicy. Seafood won't overcook and become rubbery. This sous vide doesn't have some of the bells and whistles that more expensive machines do, like built-in recipes, WIFI or bluetooth, but I don't miss not having any of those features. Sometimes less is more, and in this case it makes operating such an easy task. This is the best kitchen investment I've made in a long time, and it will be used quite a lot.

I absolutely love my Sous Vide. Makes life so much eaiser to prepare a great meal with very little effort. Can even cook meat from frozen to a delicious end result every time. Prepping is easy and can pre freeze dinners and cook them all the way without any issues. This thing is a answer to so many needs when not sure what ya want and so well worth the money. Temp is accurate and very easy to program. can't say enough about this. It is awesome and highly recommend!

Maintains the temperature with no problem and makes delicious juicy flavorful meats with virtually no effort. Maybe I'm spoiled with all of today's smart devices, but I wish it had an app where you could monitor it from another room. Besides that spoiled brat quibble, I highly recommend it for easy no fuss meals.

I testing this in a water bath with my other sous vide hooked up and in the same water bath to display temperature. The thermometer on this sous vide is accurate but the circulation motor does not pump enough water through it to really heat the entire bath (if you have a decent size water bath). I will say the unit if very quiet (probably because the circualter is not very powerful) and it heats fast. However the unit itself gets very hot, not quite so hot you can not touch the plastic but it is close. None of the other sous vides I have used have gotten that hot on the top plastic part. If you need a cheap sous vide this may do the job but you are probably better off spending a bit more and getting a better one.
