I love my hammock stand!! I bought a 15 ft hammock sling on clearance from BBB two years ago and never did anything with it. I recently got married and moved to the country and finally bought the stand to go with it. And it’s the perfect addition to our backyard!! We love it!!

    • Great if you're unable to wall mount

So I decided to try switching to a hammock instead of a bed for an every night sleeper, just 'cause. I paired it with this hammock: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001DDTE5A/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00 So let me tell you something first. It has a weight limit of 220 lbs, according to the description. That's all dandy, but let me just say that if you weigh more than 200 lbs you might want to look for something else. I weigh 190 lbs, and while it hasn't busted apart in the three months that I've owned it, it does have a bit more give than I'd like. The frame is easy to install. Make sure that you're able to comfortably fit it in your room though, because even in my nearly empty bedroom it takes up quite a bit of space. So like I said above, it hasn't busted apart on me, but there has been a little bit or wear on near the ends where you slip your S hooks through. I guess it's to be expected since it's metal rubbing on metal, but I think it's worth mentioning since no one else has at the moment. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I didn't rock around in it all the time, but that's part of what makes it fun. :) That's really the only reason I rated it with four stars instead of five, so take it for what it's worth. My opinion is that if you're unable to mount your S hooks into a wall (renting a room, granite walls, mom/wife says no, etc.) then this is not a bad option. If you want to use this for more than one person or if you're worried that you might be a bit too heavy, then I would look for something with a better weight capacity. ... show more

    • Strong, but wobbly.

So I just bought this. The 15 footer is huge, but I have a two-person hammock. Very easy to put together. It just has little push in buttons like on a folding chair or table umbrella that hold each segment in place. Nothing is bolted together though. so the whole frame shifts by minor amounts when you are on it or off of it. Just kind of gives the illusion that the frame isn't sturdy. I'm half tempted to drill a hole all the way through and put a carriage bolt and lock nut with washers to give it some more stability through each hole. I think that's about the only way to make it complete sturdy. Then again, maybe its best to have that "give" on a hammock stand. I can't imagine some of the wood ones doing that though. it also comes with S-hooks and chains. I would recommend buying the compatible wheel kit. Makes it easier to move when mowing the yard or chasing the shade. ... show more

Great hammock stand for the price. Very easy to use. Setup and takedown is only a few minutes. Not heavy when broken down. I keep this on my RV, and set it up outside when I go camping. It fits my Eno double nest perfect! The only downside is that, as others have said, it's not extremely stable. To elaborate, you aren't going to run and dive into it. You aren't going to be able to use your hammock as a swing with this stand. However, unless you toss and turn violently in your sleep, aside a few squeaks, I don't see you having any problems enjoying your hammock time with this stand. ... show more

This was super easy to put together. It required no tools, and I had it out of the box and up in about 10 minutes (and most of that was unwrapping the packaging). There were a few rusty spots and one of the top push connectors didn't quite line up, but that doesn't affect the functionality. It's sturdy enough for a small-ish adult, though if you were even approaching 200 lbs, I would be apprehensive, as it bends a bit if my daughter and I both get in the hammock (which would be just under 200). ... show more

Surprisingly well made for the price. However 1 nut and washer were missing from the part bag. I also misjudged the size. My hammock is 10' 6". The stand is 10". So I figured the hammock should have a nice little droop and not be stretched tight, right? Wrong. The hammock stretches and the frame flexes a little, leaving my butt on the ground. Was able to shorten the hammock enough to get off the ground, but my advice would be to get the next size up from the hammock length and adjust by adding some short chains. ... show more

I must admit, I bought this expecting to hate it and return it. Happily, I have no plans to return it. I am sitting in my hammock being supported by this stand as I write this, and I am quite satisfied. The frame is quite heavy duty and easy to put together. If you have the correct sized hammock (and as cheap as hammocks are it is worth buying one the correct size to get this deal), this would be a good purchase. By the way, I am 6'1", 200 lbs, and I fit quote well in the hammock for this stand. ... show more

Extremely easy to assemble and disassemble! It would be nice if the stand came with a case to carry everything in for camping or easy relocation from one place to another, but that wasnt something that was advertised. Assembly takes place with simple push-to-release buttons, and sliding the components together. The paint covering the components seems to be pretty thick and doesnt damage easy when placed on a hard surface. To connect the hammock to the stands, there are some S-hooks that slide into a hole and screw in place with supplied hardware. ... show more
