Cameras are great. If you have any buildings or trees/ foliage between the sync module and the camera i would suggest the xr+ version. We couldn't get ours watching our equipment to connect really much at all about half a block away. Most likely because of the apartments. Definitely a good system.

Everyone I know has cameras in their homes, so when these came on a great sale on prime day, I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon. Mind you, I can hold my own, but am not all that tech savvy. This was VERY simple to set up. If you have more than one camera, you will need to purchase a sync module to connect them and that was an easy setup as well. Keep in mind where you will be placing these cameras and purchase the appropriate color that will make them less conspicuous. I purchased black not paying attention and I have them mounted on my white gutters. I used a little white paint to disguise them better, but you have to be careful, because you will cover up the motion detection if you do too much on the front! (Ask me how I know!) I’m too impatient to wait for an exchange so I winged it and found out the hard way. Thankfully., a little nail polish remover took the paint off the motion sensor and it works great. Depending on where you plan to mount the cameras, you may need to purchase two other things. An appropriate mounting station for your situation and a WIFI extender if they have poor connection where you place them. I’m still waiting for the doorbell to come as it was part of a prime day deal package, but so far I’m very pleased with the operation and set up. I can’t speak to battery life as I have only had them for about a month. The blink app keeps you updated on all of the cameras activities and functional features, as well as if something needs attention or can be improved by changing settings. Picture quality is pretty decent, but declines the further away you get, but I guess that’s to be expected with any camera. Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and it gives me some extra peace of mind.

Updated: originally I gave it 2 stars, now I'm at 1 star - here's why... I get an error every time I open the app on my Android phone from a notification. The notifications on my phone are supposed to include a screenshot - the screenshot is missing about half the time, so I have to login to my phone, click the notification, get an error, click a couple more things and then I can see what triggered it. Also, I noticed that the cameras weren't always recording when there was motion so I put 2 cameras on either side of my driveway, both looking at the end of my driveway. Each camera can also see the other camera. If there is motion at the end of my driveway, BOTH cameras should trigger, record video and send a notification, but each motion event is almost always missed by one of the cameras...and here's the weird part...because the cameras can see each other, each camera can see when the other is triggered at night because it sees the infrared light turn on. I have numerous instances where one camera will see the other camera is triggered but the other camera does not record or send video. This is unacceptable. ---original review below --- I bought it for the extended range wireless cameras which do work okay. They only record when there is motion and because they are battery operated and apparently require lithium batteries which are about $3 each and they take two, it was a quick easy solution for my basic problem. It does this very basic task OK. That's kind of where the good part ends. Missing basic features like timestamp on videos, no way to ignore alerts permanently by camera (I have a camera I want to record but I don't want it to wake me up in the middle of the night telling me that it recorded something. It's All or nothing. I cannot turn off one camera without disarming the entire system, and the individual camera "ignore" feature has a maximum of 23 hours and 59 minutes). Buggy app. No way to download videos directly from the app to my phone, the download arrow just doesn't do anything. One of the screens actually asks if you want to join their neighborhood "Ring" program... Like they don't know that they are Blink and not Ring? Battery life meh. Seems like a cheap knockoff of Ring. Apparently there is no way to opt out of their marketing emails/push spam to the app. I opted out in the app and they still send me marketing emails and they have marketing notices in the app. No means no. And, they just signed me up for their 30 day AI trial, which I assume would bill my card if I didn't do anything. I would probably buy a different system next time.

I’ve been very happy with this camera system so far. The video quality is clear during both the day and at night, and the motion detection has been accurate without too many unnecessary alerts. Setup was straightforward, and the app makes it easy to check live footage or review recorded clips. One of the biggest advantages is the long battery life, which means less frequent charging. The wireless design also makes installation much easier since there’s no need to run power cables. Overall, this has been a dependable security camera system that offers good performance, easy installation, and convenient remote monitoring. It’s a great option if you’re looking for a simple wireless outdoor security solution.

Overall, I am satisfied with thr cameras. The wider angle (vs my Outdoor 3s) is helpful in some areas. The audio quality is noticeably clearer. The 3s have a lot of white noise, wheras the 4 seems to filter/supress that better (possibly a frequency difference?) That said: I had upgraded to the XR module, hoping it would perform better for one of my further backyard cameras. Unfortunately, even with XR signal at full bars, it underperforms vs using “poor” signal Wifi. So, I have not been able to get the expected value from this. This was observed across multiple days & testing. On Wifi, notifications & clips are triggered quickly and frequently when motion is detected. XR would go 1-2 days without a recorded clip or notification, despite my dogs & I being in the yard several times a day. For reference, I have the XR module in a window (inside) on the NE corner of my “ranch” home, and the camera was mounted on the NW corner, not exceeding 50 ft. The Wifi router is in a closet in the middle of the house.

We already have four Blink cameras but needed to add to our system since we are building a garage. The videos are a great quality and you can select how you are notified when the motion sensor is activated. A few months ago we had someone lurking around our neighborhood, so the added security made me feel safe. We do have the subscription to store our videos, but it is not a necessity to use them. The instructions for installation and to add additional cameras to my app were very easy. Blink goes through the steps to assist you even if you are not tech savvy. I have to say they are very durable. We had one mounted and a squirrel knocked it off the mount and it fell onto the street. We realized it when we saw a video of a cat looking upside down at it. We put it back in the mount and it still works years later. I did purchase additional mounts that allow me to turn the camera at a 90 degree angle for certain areas. I highly recommend purchasing these cameras.

So far so good! This was purchased to replace a 10+ year old original Blink camera. It seems to be quicker with notifications. The picture seems to be the same as the original which I was hoping would be a little better. It is working with some older cameras and has no issues, although it does have a separate plug. The sound is definitely better. I did notice that the still picture is a bit clearer. I'm not a huge fan of the AI that comes with it, it is pretty close on descriptions but has turned a cat into a skunk and another into a lynx, fo figure. I won't keep the AI feature as it's not helpful for me. I'll install a chip in the plug in and won't pay the monthly fee.

Blink is the BEST. Now have 2 Blink systems with 15 cameras! This second one is the XT (extended range, up to 1700 feet). With this I have one camera about 900 feet and it works perfect. Blink has a limit of 10 cameras per sync module but you can have multiple sync modules on the same application on your phone making monitoring of more than 10 cameras very easy. Setup of second sync module is almost a no brainer then adding cameras to the second sync module is very simple. Not only is the Blink camera system excellent and reliable, the setup couldn't be easier. If I could give their system 10 stars I would.
