Set up straight forward. I am a retired electrician so it was easy for me. I do suggest getting an electrician out if you have any qualms about installing. Set up mine with a cord to a gfci receptacle for ease if I want to move or adjust.

Half of the cameras stopped working within two weeks of purchase, no explanation why, just “disconnected”. I wrote a review of the doorbell as well, it was the most reliable of the system working (at most) between 30-40% of the time. These cameras are far worse, trust me, wireless security systems are not reliable or secure. These cameras were all mounted on the same level and less than 30ft of a super high end nighthawk router and we pay for high bandwidth internet service. Even with ideal installation, high bandwidth, and clear line of sight. These cameras are effectively worthless when it comes to home security. The best devices we had were the wired outdoor nest cameras, unfortunately they no longer sell the wired versions. They worked over 95% of the time and the video footage was a streaming 30 days (paid). These blink cameras provide hundreds of choppy useless clips that barely capture anything useful. I would say if you can’t afford more expensive systems to go ahead and buy, but based on our experience I think it’s better to have nothing than a non-functioning system that gives a false sense of security and you’re out hundreds of dollars anyway.     • Good for primary home, not good for remote monitoring.
The Blink camera system is easy to setup and provides good image quality. If you are looking for a system for a primary residence and don't mind resetting cameras from time to time, it is a good solution. However, if you are away from home for extended periods, or want to monitor a second home, this is a poor choice. Cameras seem to lose communication with the sync module from time to time and must be manually reset by removing and reinstalling the battery to restore communications. Because the ability remotely reconnect cameras does not exist, the Blink system in my opinion is not a good choice for anything other than your primary residence. ... show more

Made very difficult to connect and get working without having to spend a lot of money on subscriptions. Over the top expensive if you were to set up all the cameras included. missing basic features found on other cameras. Took several tries to get the offline not internet hub to work and even then it is still not recording as expected. no pre roll makes capturing events less valuable and often too late to know what triggered it.     • Love the cameras and the app
The flood light and cameras have been great, we have been having issues with the doorbell camera though. We might return it if it keeps having issues. We reset it and it will work for a couple days and then nothing. It’s annoying to having to remove it reset it and put it back on every couple days.
