As I stated on the return comments, the unbelievable loud noise that emits from the blender when in use, is the loudest sound I’ve ever heard indoors. It also overheats very quickly and the smell the wafts from the motor after less than 15 seconds smells like, it should be turned off from fear of fire. It states you should not blend from longer than 60 seconds but, I doubt you would even get to half that before you’re risk level was reached. The carafe is huge but, the blades do not reflex how much it needs to blend and remember, it states to not blend longer than 60 seconds. The carafe lid locks on, which is an annoyance. The carafe is very hard to remove unless u are a giant with calloused hands so, you could grip the grip less base. Rubberized inserts or some kind of grippy strips should be on the base for easier removal. Remember, unless your a giant with giant grippy hands and you’re sense of smell is not so acute and maybe if the blender began to smoke but, you may have cataracts so everything looks a little smoky and have a fire extinguisher within arm reach than, this would be the right blender, maybe? The price is reflective of the product.

I asked in advance what the wattage was because I needed a blender 500 watts. When it arrived (fairly fast, btw),, I didn’t even open the box because it clearly stated on the box that it was 700 watts. Returned unopened.

I bought this to make my protein smoothies, I needed something large enough to make a full sized smoothie and occasionally make 2 for me and a friend. I needed it to be able to crush ice, easily clean, and I had to be able to run it off my solar system so it couldn't be too high in watts. It has done all these things for me, and it looks nice sitting on my counter top. Cons: the lid is a little tricky, it seems to be "keyed" to the pouring spout, if I push it all the way down until it snaps in place, it was very difficult to remove, I just don't snap it down anymore, I place it loosely on top and hold it with my hand, it's not an issue for me.

For $30 this blender is worth it. Powerful blending power, looks nice on the counter, easy cleanup. Just be sure to line up the cover correctly, if not it’s really hard to get off. Makes great smoothies!

The media could not be loaded. Got this blender because it was small and I needed something I can make smoothies in. Received the blender plugged it in and no power. I plugged it into every outlet in my house and even the outdoor outlet and still no power. I assumed maybe I just ended up with a bad blender so I returned the original for a replacement. Just got the replacement and still the same issue, no power! Returning the second blender as well because I have zero use for an item that I cannot even turn on and use. UPDATE: the entire time I had the blender put on the wrong way! It does power on when everything is locked in the CORRECT position. It’s powerful and actually gets the job done.
