These are no nonsense stretchy sleeves designed to provide a little bit of protection/stability for an injured or compromised knee. I have had some tightness in my knee and used these as a preventative measure for when I was working out and involving some knee functions. The stitching is good, doesn't look like it will fall apart easily. They were able to stretch slightly, but not enough where it wouldn't provide some protection. Shorter knee braces that I found to be very stretchy and comfortable to wear. There is a double row of rubbery gripper on the inside of the top edge that helps to hold the brace in place when I am moving but ended up leaving black smears on my skin when I wore it the first time. The grip is a black rubbery substance that does help to keep the brace from slipping but I found the black smears it left on my leg quite a surprise, especially after I had hand washed the brace before using it. The marks washed off my leg with a bit of scrubbing but were a nuisance. After that I hand washed the braces again and then let them drip dry. The next time I wore one there were no black smears. So I recommend washing them extra thoroughly before use. I lowered my rating by one star for this. The braces are shorter than some others I have tried - they measure about 9 1/2" long - so might be too short for a tall person. I found them to be a good length for me with a lot of stretch and good rebound so they offered comfortable support without squeezing too hard or making it difficult to bend my knee. ... show more

This is a nice knee brace overall, but it's a bit short on thigh and shins and likes to slide down the thighs after running or riding a bicycle. The fabric is durable, and feels great against the skin, I ordered a Medium, when by the measurements, I should have ordered a size Large. But I think I did well by ordering a size smaller. I fear the Large size would slide down my leg far too easily. I'd advise you to do some shopping around and making sure to read all reviews from other braces from different brands, before commiting to one that may or may not work out for your knees. I ordered a medium based on the chart. The knee sleeves fit ok but a bit tight, I may be between sizes. So far, the sleeves are staying in place and minimize my knee pain.
