I bought 5 of these for our living room home theater. We have 5 windows - three that face due west and two that face north with a two story neighbor's house about twenty feet away. I mounted the solar panels on one of the upper sash muntins on the inside. Each panel has the window glass, the storm window glass and the screen of the storm window between the panel and the outside. They perform flawlessly - even on the north side! This time of year, the only sunlight they see is reflected from the neighbor's house. We just passed the winter solstice and I waited until now to review this product as I thought the north facing ones would need some supplemental USB power. Even with the sun way to the south, the batteries stay charged from the solar panels alone. We use them everyday to watch shows on the big screen. Down at night and up the next morning. Support has contacted me and I am happy with a plan to resolve issues. Everything is understood and we are moving forward. The shades themselves are wonderful. We will work out issues of Alexa control. I've purchased 8 and installed 7 of these custom cut in a new master bedroom. I tried one at first before I committed, then another six (now 7) for the rest of the room, the last (received) for an external entry door nearby. In addition I bought a multi channel remote and the hub for use with my phone but primarily Alexa. Other than deciphering the instructions for the remote and hub installation, configuration a snap. My Wife and I did the last 4 windows in under two hours. Here is the BUT. To me a BIG but. My hope was to setup two Alexa groups, one for the "view" side of the room (3 windows) another for the other 4 on the "privacy" side of the room. Quite simply, the hub is worthless to control more than one window at a time. After the appropriate command to open or close either group, one, sometimes two blinds will activate AT RANDOM. Calling out the rest of the specific blinds in the group fails until the initial operation completes. Back to the multichannel remote then where selecting channel 00 is generally successful in closing all, sometimes missing one, because of a shadow in the IR signal. But that's not what I want. I need to control the two groups completely and independently. I've very recently asked the question about how many remotes each blind can pair with and so far no answer. Currently there are two, hub and one remote. If it can handle more I can solve the problem with multiple remotes. In final, these are great, each individual blind works fine verbally. The multi channel remote works as designed but the hub doesn't work for multiple synchronized activations. Given my long experience in IT, I suspect the the HUB is overwhelmed by the commands from Alexa and it relaying them to each blind. It appears that the hub may continue to "talk" to the blind In operation causing it to ignore subsequent commands from Alexa until the current operation is complete. I'd love to hear from the vendor about solving this. ... show more

This blinds is make of good quality. I like its color. Its installation is easy, just following the simple steps in the instructions. I spent couple of minutes to have it installed. It comes with a battery that powers the blinds, which makes it easy to open and close the blinds. It functions good. The solor panel can have the battery charged. This is convenient. Remote came with shade doesn't respond. I also purchased bridge to connect Tuya app, but doesn't connect. My shade can't move and just stay. Only lasted a little over 1 year. I don't recommend this brand.
