I’ve been using these fake skins to practice tattooing, and while they’re decent for the price, they fall short of the quality you get with ReelSkin. As a beginner who knows more about tattooing than actually doing tattoos, I’ve noticed that these skins are great for practicing solid lines and getting into the flow of tattooing, but shading is a struggle. The ink just doesn’t take the same way it would on ReelSkin, which can be frustrating when trying to improve technique. Another drawback is the thinness of these skins. In the future, I’ll stick to finding 3mm-thick skins, as they offer a more realistic feel and make it easier to gauge needle depth—an important part of developing consistency. Overall, though, these are still a decent option for beginners looking to build confidence and practice line work, but if you’re serious about replicating the feel of tattooing, ReelSkin is definitely the gold standard.

I mean, if you’re itching to practice tattooing, I suppose these would be OK to use the only thing that I personally hate about fake skins and this one in particular, it is very hard to clean off access ink. Also, this is fake skin itself is rather thin so this would be a good product to specifically practice pressure on ***update: use Vaseline and a paper towel with pressure to wipe ink off***

When I first got these, I was going way too deep and my lines were very shaky because I wasn’t use to the thickness of these. After getting use to them it’s the only thing I’ll use. I’m an apprentice and I don’t have the money to get the expensive ones from reelskin or Frankenskin. So this is the next best thing. Color doesn’t hold super saturated but overall good

These are overall good to use starting off as a beginner level tattoo artist. They’re not too thin and with learning how to tattoo you can learn how to properly tattoo starter things with the practice skins!!!!

Actually sucks. I’ve gotten so many different kinds of practice skin to use and this is by far the worst, even worse than practice skin that comes with some machines. It is by far the thinnest I’ve ever had, needles poke straight through (which I would’ve realized before tattooing my table). The ink doesn’t wipe off clean so even after your finished it looks like a blurry mess. Save yourself some money/ don’t buy this!
