  • Great for beginning
Pattern Name: Rubber Type
I am still a beginner in tattooing and have been using these practice skins. One issue that has really been bugging me is that these skins do not hold white ink at all. So if you want to practice black and white shading and highlighting the white will not show at all. Doesn't matter the needle depth, type of needle, speed... nothing will get white ink to show up on this skin. For those complaining about smudges, just use petroleum jelly. Sometimes it can take 3 applications and wiping to remove all of it but it does come off. I'm only a month into it all and I am ready to up my game when it comes to skin. This has helped me tremendously thus far but it isn't serving the purpose I want to practice right now, white ink. ... show more

Looks like skin, feels like skin... don't taste much like it though. Might try marinating it next time...

  • Good for Practice, but Thin Skin
Pattern Name: Rubber Type
I recently purchased this fake tattoo skin for practice, and while it serves its purpose to some extent, it falls short in a couple of areas. First, the positive aspects: It's a decent option for practicing tattoo techniques. The texture is somewhat similar to real skin, which can help beginners get a feel for tattooing. It's also affordable, making it a cost-effective choice for practice sessions. However, there are notable downsides. The biggest issue is its thickness. It's much thinner than I expected, which affects the overall experience. Thicker skin would provide a more realistic feel and better mimic the sensation of tattooing. Another drawback is that tattoo stencils don't dry well on this surface. The ink tends to smudge, making it challenging to get clean, precise outlines. This can be frustrating, especially for those looking to practice intricate designs. In summary, this fake tattoo skin is suitable for basic practice, but its thinness and difficulty in working with stencils can be limiting. While it's affordable, consider its limitations if you're looking for a more realistic experience in your tattoo practice. Pros: Affordable Provides a basic surface for practice Cons: Thin skin, not very realistic Tattoo stencils don't dry well on it, leading to smudging issues. ... show more

  • Read before you buy
Pattern Name: Rubber Type
How 63% are 5 star reviews I'll never know. I got the rubber at the time didn't realize there was an option for silicone but mine took no ink. Literally everything was wiped, the indentions of the needle and some shadow of the ink was left but I feel like I just wasted my time. The skin feels very stiff and it comes individually wrapped as stated. It really isn't good practice skin seeing you have to be aggressive with the needle to see any result, if anything I think it does more damage to your understanding of needle depth. I honestly wouldn't even know what to use it for and I have 9 pieces left😮💨 ... show more
