The media could not be loaded. I've been searching for a decent portable blackout solution for when I travel or need to grab some shuteye during the day. This blackout curtain seemed promising, so I decided to give it a go. First off, the blackout functionality is pretty solid. The fabric does a good job of blocking out most light, thanks to the silver coating on the back. It's not 100% pitch black, but definitely dark enough to get some decent rest. I like that you can cut the curtain to fit different window sizes and shapes. I was able to easily trim it down to cover my bedroom window at home, and it worked well for blocking out the early morning sun. The included adhesive tapes are strong and keep the curtain securely in place. Installation is fairly straightforward, though it does take a bit of measuring and cutting to get the right fit. The tapes can be a little finicky to work with - I accidentally stuck one in the wrong spot and had a heck of a time getting it off! But with a little patience, I got it up without too much fuss. Portability is definitely a plus. The curtain and accessories all pack down into the included storage bag, which is great for throwing in a suitcase or overnight bag. Lightweight and doesn't take up much space. One thing to keep in mind - while the curtain does block a good amount of light, it's not completely opaque. On really bright days, some light still filters through. Not a dealbreaker for me, but something to be aware of if you need total darkness. The fabric quality is decent, but not amazing. After a few uses and washes, I'm noticing a bit of wear and tear. A small hole has formed near one of the corners. Hoping it doesn't get much worse over time. Overall, this blackout curtain gets the job done for my needs. It's not perfect, but it's a good portable option for blocking out most light when I need to rest. The versatility to fit different windows is handy, and the price point is fair. Just manage your expectations on the fabric durability and light blocking, and I think you'll find it a useful tool to have on hand.

The media could not be loaded. Unexpectedly, the procedure of installation was really simple; the Velcro strips attached very nicely to the window frame, and the process of hanging the curtains was a pleasure. The first night, I was actually amazed by how completely they blocked out light. I will never forget it. In spite of the fact that the sun was rising, my room was completely dark, which enabled me to sleep in it without being disturbed. The adaptability of these curtains is, in my opinion, one of their most notable qualities. Since then, I've used them in a hotel room with weak blinds and even in my van when I was on a camping vacation. In particular, the capability to cut them to size is a game-changer, particularly for windows or places that have an unusual form. On the other hand, I would advise against chopping without first carefully measuring the area. During my initial trim, I was a little overenthusiastic, and as a result, I ended up with a little gap.

My windows are 71 inches long. This blackout curtain is shorter than the length of my windows by about 3 inches. I feel cheated, but I don't feel like sending this back and buying a longer one. I'm just kicking myself for trusting the measurements. Now, the blackout capacity is amazing. If this went all the way across my window, it would be better. I love how lightweight it is, and I love that I can pull it back when I wake up and just put it back in place before bed. Interesting point: the Velcro does damage paint and does not easily remove from the wall. I probably should have read the instructions before committing to Velcro on my wall...

Received this earlier than expected. Used the enclosed tape measure to immediately measure out panels for my bedroom windows. I used my blue fabric marking pencil on the panel to mark the cutting lines. Easy to cut out. For my windows, I suggest an extra 1/2" to 1" extra, all around, to keep out street light bleed. They work well, and were cost effective.

As the weather started to get hot, I needed some blackout curtains to keep my place colder in summer. The product reminds me of a waterproof fabric that I used to make clothings.. it is very effective to block out the sun. Super lightweight and versatile. I’m liking it on my windows so far.

The last two I got were curtain styles, and both fell off within 1-4 weeks after hanging on the window. The sun and quite strong and hot, so the adhesion didn’t last. Trying something different with the Velcro this time and so far it’s better lasting. Definitely just as dark and blacking out the light like the curtain styles as well.

Took no time at all to put up. Comes with its own carrying bag and soft tape measure. There was more than enough to do two 36X58 windows. I still have enough left over to do a small window if I needed to. It looks way better than the black out paper I had up prior to this. It didn’t block 100% of the light but I would say it blocked 97% of the light and as someone who sleeps during the day, that’s much better than what I had.
