The other day, my 3 alpacas got out of their paddock. I got a call from a neighbor who saw them right on the street in front of our long driveway!!! I bounded up off the couch and pretty easily got them back into their pasture. They are not known for wanting to run away, but they do like “greener grazing grounds.” I got to thinking that this will probably happen again. So I wanted to keep an ID tag on them at all times. The light strip is useful if they got loose at night time when they would be seen by headlights or my search light. I measured carefully knowing that they are just about to get their summer shearing. I like that I can adjust down when their hair is down to almost skin!! Just some extra piece of mind. I may or may not use these to get ahold of them while they are in their pasture/paddock. I usually bring their daily treat rations and they come running right into the training pen where they are fed individually. This is where I do my haltering. My boys are such a delight and I want to avoid any more “situations.” ... show more

I have tried many collar on our year and half puppy . Nothing worked either the buckle went bad or the leather rubbed his neck . Then some just broke luckily we didn’t loss our dog . Or just looked bad after wearing for a short time . Not this one . This collar is comfortable for him . He doesn’t act like it’s rubbing his neck like before . I has a very nice regular buckle on it . Nothing difficult to but on or off . Before if you took his collar off he would run when you told him it was time to put his necklace back on . Now if you take his necklace off to take a bath he wants it right back on . The collar looks like the day I bought it . Which is saying something. I would buy again with out a doubt ... show more

Very nice collar but I was looking for an xtra tough collar for my dog because her doggie brother and her play very rough and every collar I have ever purchased, he bites right through and this was no exception. This is a sturdy collar but just couldn’t hold up to their rough play. It lasted less than a week so I guess I will be looking for another! ... show more

This is my second purchase of this collar. The last one I bought for this dog lasted 3 years, and would have lasted longer had I not cut the ends of it as I purchased size too large. It was rendered a little threadbare by that, aside from that the color stood the test of time against my rather rambunctious dog who has a tendency to pull. It is made well, with strong buckles which is important for me. My dog weighs 62 lb and I got him the large size and it has plenty of room to spare. I highly recommend this product. And the pictures I have included a photo of the old one which is the red and the black and the new one. ... show more

It's great. I love the lock system. we used to use the ones that click together, but it came off once during a walk and that was a disaster. These lock like a belt, so it's not coming off unless you take it off. It's a nice sturdy collar.

These dog collars are very good! I have large breeds and prefer the metal buckle kind. They are hard to find. I do not like the plastic clasp ones. These collars are padded and comfortable for the dogs to wear. I highly recommend them.
