At the time of purchase, this was $54. It has been hands down the best toaster oven!! So much room, you can cook anything in it that you would put in a regular oven. There literally is nothing wrong with it, it's great!! I am sad for the price hike, as someone damaged our unit and because of denting etc, the temp regulator is now off and sometimes making noise. Still works, but sometimes it does not (maybe loose wiring). I can't afford a new one at the new pricetag, at this time. But it will be my choice again, when I am able. Thank you for making this unit, Black and Decker. Always good products, more affordable and reliable than others. Thank you for being a reputable brand still, in this day and age. ... show more

We love this toaster oven. It’s nice and big can fit a casserole dish no problem, pizza too. It broils great, overall a fabulous unit. Like having a second oven, real handy!

    • You get 2 years out of this oven
I am about order my 3rd one of these and I have learned that with daily regular use, you get about two years out of this oven. I still like the outer and inner dimensions enough to keep ordering…for now at least. It accommodates large pans and I like the manual non digital knobs. It has never caught fire or shattered or any of the concerning things which I have read occur with other toaster ovens so I think all in all it’s a good choice to buy this. What happens when it “goes out”? Well on my current unit there is something very wrong with thermostat. No matter the setting it’s blazing hot and burns everything. Because of the manual knobs I just have this feeling that my grandpa could have torn this thing apart and fixed this. He was a professional electrician and world class tinkerer, for reference. The toaster function broke months ago so I have just been using the oven feature which is all I really need. The Oven “toasts” too! The other one I had just stopped turning on unless you had a bit of luck or after slapping of the machine. Mind you, these malfunctions were after 2 years of use. We don’t have a microwave so we warm all food with this, to give you an idea of the demand we place on this machine. ... show more

I bought this because do sublimation and needed a convection oven. This works perfectly! I did buy a thermometer to put inside it cause it does get a little hotter sometimes but it is very easy to adjust and bring it back down. It is tall enough to put a 20oz tumbler in standing up. I have not tried anything bigger than that. My tumblers come out perfect! ... show more

***** 8/2/2018 Update - I have not had any problems with this toaster oven and my family and I have used it daily for the past year. I gladly stand by my review and would/will buy another one in a heartbeat. ***** There are tons of reviews on this thing already so I will get straight to the point by answering the questions that still lingered in my brain when considering this toaster oven after reading all of the reviews. Does it fit a 9x13 casserole dish with handles? Heck yeah…and then some. We are cooking dishes in our toaster oven that feed a family of 5. We have owned this for a week now and have not turned on our full size oven yet. Seriously. We may miss a full oven around the holidays, but 363 days a year we will probably wonder why we have a full oven taking up so much space. We have joked about getting another one for when we need “double ovens”. At $50….why not? Is it worth the money and if so, why is it so cheap? Yes, it is worth the money. If you have experienced the build quality of say a Breville toaster oven, you will know why it is $50 instead of $300. Does it still look nice and feel like it will last for years? Absolutely. Can it make toast, and if so, is it as slow as everyone says? Yes, it makes beautiful toast. Is it slow? I haven’t drag raced it against my toaster-toaster yet, probably should, but it doesn’t feel slower. Couple that with the fact that I can make 8 pieces of toast at once for my growing family…I would say that it is much, much faster overall. Does it get as hot on the outside as others say? Oh, heck yeah. There are warnings all over the place and they aren’t kidding. I clocked the top at 160F when heated to 450F inside. Remember though, you are cooking a full 9x13 pan of lasagna in this thing so just give it a little room to work. It preheats faster and runs cooler than your full oven, it’s just not as well insulated at $50. Is it noisy? My kids can be noisy. My lawnmower is noisy. This thing is just circulating warm air…making me dinner. If this is noisy, you are spending too much time alone. Is there only 1 rack? Yes. Why? Because if you have 2 racks, people will put toast on both racks and then the bottoms of the top rack and the tops of the bottom rack will not get toasted, and they will complain. A lot of people are placing the crumb tray in the wrong spot (which is very, very easy to do) then complaining that it doesn’t bake/toast properly. This is why there is 1 rack. In summary, this thing is worth every penny, and in fact, once you buy it and use it with your adult size dishes, you will probably wonder why they aren’t charging more for it. ... show more

This is a great toaster oven for me. Works great follow your directions you will need to adjust the temperature on some things and either add or minus your time but I really enjoy it it Cooks well bakes well makes toast well. Great buy for the money and I hope you purchase one and enjoy it.

Bought this toaster because of it simple mechanical controls, and its extra width, despite poor reviews posted. Yes it is light weight, it gets hot ( it is a oven after all ) but not so hot to be a problem or hazard to life and property as some have claimed. It reaches operating temp in a reasonable amount of time. The dial settings were quite accurate ( temp setting 450f , oven temp. gage 460f) Have no idea how accurate the oven temp gage is, but I think it is accurate enough. Previous to this purchase I bought a different brand toaster oven that cost three times the price, it failed two days after receiving it, that was a waste of my time and money, Yes Amazon did refund money, but it did end up being a less then ideal refund, and it did cost me money. I doubt I will ever shop or buy from Amazon again. ... show more
