One of the best homeowner purchases I’ve made. Ladder safety is extremely important and this has kept me from having to get on a ladder in certain scenarios. While I do agree that there is a bit of awkwardness to carrying the blower and operating long reach, Black and Decker did a decent job with the sturdiness and length of the flexible section that connect to the blower to give the user plenty of room and the hose doesn’t kink. I really wondered whether this would fit my Makita blower, because I hadn’t seen any reviews about someone connecting it to a Makita 40V blower. This is half the cost of the Makita branded version and worked very well. I did not have issues with the fitting wanting to blow off. I also felt that there was plenty of sturdiness to the overall length that it wasn’t wobbly and was easy to clean the gutters. From the ground. Works really well. Fits my Kobalt leaf blower perfectly, even though it’s for black and decker. Definitely an arm workout, but better than a ladder in certain spaces

Have to agree with others saying it’s a great solution for gutter cleaning and pays for itself. However, the design is not the best. The bag keeps coming out of the head and you have to stop cleaning. I’m sure Black and Decker could put their designers minds together and improve the design. Something that snaps in like the blower extension. Lifesaver though. I refuse to pay $200+ to get my gutters cleaned. ... show more

    • You'll need to modify the connector, a bungee, works really good other than the connector issue.
Doesn't stay connected. You'll need to make some modifications to keep the extension connected to your blower. It's poorly engineered, period. I saw another customer recommended a clamp to connect it and I'm sure that would work but what a pain. I used the connector it came with and connected a bungi cord and wrapped it around the back of the blower to keep it on and that works. Plus, it's easier to get on and off. Other than this, the gutter extension works quite well. It even got wet packed in leaves and muck out of my gutters. ... show more

    • Miracle in a box
I ordered this back in May of this year, but didn't use until Oct. But I had to do a review, as this is an amazing item! I've always been fortunate with having one my grandsons to get up on the roof and clean my gutters out in the fall, as I have several maple trees in my yard. Well, one grandson is out of state, the other has a broken hand. So, I thought time to get this thing out and see what it will do. I am absolutely thrilled! This attached to my B&D leaf blower with ease, the extentions were very easy as well. Now, I'm a 70 yrs old grandmother with spinal stenosis, severe back pain. So, I knew I could not hold the attachment and the blower too. So I got my littke wagon for the blower itself, my accordion stool to sit and went at it! I have a 2000 sq ft home, one level, but that's a lot of guttering. My first thought was, this isn't going to be powerful enough blowing thru such a long tube extension, especially with me sitting on a stool...wrong! My gutters were full with some wetness under the top dry leaves. Blow off the top ones, the bottom damp leaves then blew right out! Once at the downspout openings, small particular blew right thru and I could see the grass blowing at the bottom opening! I did my entire guttering in just under 3 hours! All downspouts clear too. While the length using all tubes does have a tiny bit of flex to it, it's not bad at all. At first I had some problems with the extensions loosening at the connections, but once I tightened as much as I could, I had no issues. If you have one of these and don't feel it's a 5 star product, maybe you are doing something wrong or expecting a professional on the roof for you. Cause I think it's a miracle in a box for cleaning gutters! When my grandsons are able to come help again...they will be thrilled not to drag the ladder out and around and get up on the roof ever again!     • Poor design
For me the attachment easy to use. I had to lay the blower on the ground. I could not hold the blower and the attachment at the same time but on the ground I could manage the attachment. I read the reviews. I crossed my fingers and bought the product knowing that many customers had issues with the attachment coming off the blower. Well that's just what happened for me. In a period of approximately 10 minutes the attachment came off twice. Because it doesn't go on so easily because you have to get it as tight as you can it wasn't even worth messing around with. I saw other customers had to rig something but that's not why I bought the product. I'm looking to buy a product that I don't have to make it work. If I'm spending the money it should work. In the directions it read that I may have to use something to secure the attachment to the blower. That tells me that Black & Decker knows that this is an issue and with all the reviews they're doing nothing about it. Black & Decker needs to hire adequate engineers. This is a blower not a rocket. This item is going back. Not worth the hassle to even take out of the garage so even at $50 I'm not going to use this product. It's simply doesn't work. ... show more

Worked perfectly for me. I used a little tape to keep one of the joints together but my gutters have never been so clean.
