The system actually works, but you might have to add to it such as put a clamp on it so they don’t break apart or the disconnections could happen. You’ll have to improvise much better than those water spray tools.

First off I loved the thought of an attachment to my Black & Decker blower for removing leaves from my gutters without a ladder so I bought the attachment kit and I love it. I'm chuckling when I look at the picture on the outside of the box with a man holding the blower in one hand and the gutter cleaning attachment in the other, this attachment REALLY has air power to blow gutters clean but with that comes the torque of the power. The chuckle is I'm a big strong guy but there is no way I could hold the blower and also have control of the blower cleaning wand...it definitely takes two hands to control and clean effectively - and that's not a bad thing! I started off cleaning the gutters with the blower motor resting on a lawn chair and pulling the chair along with me as my work advanced, the challenge here was that the gutter attachment would disconnect at the blower if i moved too far away. It's easy to reattach but it started happening more frequently so perhaps I was trying too large of an area. I then grabbed my wonderful wife and she held the blower while I cleaned the gutters controlling the gutter cleaner attachment with both hands for very effective cleaning and the job went quick! ... show more

    • Works somewhat Ok, but NOT worth the money
I used this with a black and decker hand held (not backpack) blower. Here are a few items to note from my first usage: - Holding the blower and the attachment doesn't really work that well. There is enough air pressure that I really needed two hands on the tubing to direct the air flow. With a handheld blower I had to lay the blower on the ground and make sure the intake wasn't blocked. This would be better with a backpack style blower. - The sections screw together. This includes the top u shaped tube and it is easy to bump and unscrew slightly so that you don't have good directional control. A twist and lock mechanism on this final section would have been beneficial. - The attachment to the blower came off multiple times when I was using it. - The pipe seems a touch flimsy. The tube would bend slightly when in use from the pressure of the air. I have gutters that are taller but I am really not sure adding another few sections would work. It might be too much for the tubes. I wish I had only paid $30 for this. Or less. While it does work somewhat ok, in my mind it wasn't worth the money I spent. ... show more

I already own a BLACK+DECKER 40V Cordless Leaf Blower Kit, 120 mph Air Speed, (LSWV36) I just received the gutter attachment today, it easily attached to my blower. I did my gutters sometimes I would put the blower between my legs to stabilize it. Sometimes I sat it on the ground it work like a dream. Not sure who else is complaining but this worked great for me. I will admit the part that attached to the blower came off after about 10 minutes of use but then I put it back on and I tightened it tighter, and it didn’t come off again. Also others complained it kept bending, be sure to read instructions, the flexible bending part is the first to attach to the blower not at top. I live in an HOA community that sometimes they clean sometimes they don’t so I just do it so I can keep my leaves cleaned all year long ironically after doing this, they came and clean my gutters two days later and I’m happy to report my gutters only had about 12 leaves that I missed so this thing works really good now I can do my gutters anytime I want and it took me no time at all. I LOVE THIS I would recommend this it’s better than climbing on a ladder didn’t take me long to blow the stuff out of my gutters ... show more

    • Poor design
For me the attachment easy to use. I had to lay the blower on the ground. I could not hold the blower and the attachment at the same time but on the ground I could manage the attachment. I read the reviews. I crossed my fingers and bought the product knowing that many customers had issues with the attachment coming off the blower. Well that's just what happened for me. In a period of approximately 10 minutes the attachment came off twice. Because it doesn't go on so easily because you have to get it as tight as you can it wasn't even worth messing around with. I saw other customers had to rig something but that's not why I bought the product. I'm looking to buy a product that I don't have to make it work. If I'm spending the money it should work. In the directions it read that I may have to use something to secure the attachment to the blower. That tells me that Black & Decker knows that this is an issue and with all the reviews they're doing nothing about it. Black & Decker needs to hire adequate engineers. This is a blower not a rocket. This item is going back. Not worth the hassle to even take out of the garage so even at $50 I'm not going to use this product. It's simply doesn't work. ... show more

Make sure to try it out within the 30 day return period. The connection between blower and attachment is a fabric funnel-shaped hood. It's held in place by synching a rubber strap that has a ratchet function. The key is whether there's a bump(?) on the blower such that you can synch it up BEHIND the bump. My blower has such a bump, yet special care is needed to ensure proper positioning so that the attachment doesn't wok loosr during use. Also, DO NOT lift or hold the blower by pulling the attachment. I use a strap that goes behind my neck. I think it's the best design available, although not ideal. A better design would have a connection identical to the blow pipe that comes with the blower. This design MIGHT make it more universal. ... show more
