The BLACK+DECKER Easy Garment Steamer is easy to use. I used to have a steamer that had a hose and a big base but took up too much space. I would store it in some random closet and became such a hassle I gave it away. I have an iron and sometimes it doesn’t seem as the iron does the best job but I also hate waiting for it to heat up and the possibility of it burning certain things since I am always in a rush.     • Great little steamer, perfect to take along to college!
This is a great hand steamer for anyone looking for one, very reliable and easy to use. The tank is very easy to unscrew and fill up, the lid unscrews very easily, but is still secure during usage. After filling up the tank, the steamer heats up quickly, which is very convenient. The tank holds enough water for a few garments, maybe three or four, which is likely to be good enough for most people. One gripe I have with it however is that the hole that the steam comes from is pretty small, so multiple passes are needed for a single piece of clothing. Other than this however, the steamer works incredibly well, and is very small for great portability. This steamer is perfect for my son to take with him to college, good to get out the occasional wrinkle, an iron I feel would be too much. ... show more

This is a nice upright steamer. Some steamers now a days can be used vertically or horizontally and this is not that type. It steamed a cotton blend dress i wore nicely. It is also very easy to fill.

    • Convenient, hand-held steamer!
I've used a steamer to freshen my clothes - particularly my dry clean only items - for years in between cleanings (again, particularly for things like dress pants, sport coats and suits that require dry cleaning). A brief steam gets the wrinkles out and freshens them up with the hassle of ironing or the expense and time of taking them out to have someone else work on them. But my steamer takes up a lot of space whether I'm using it or not and certainly takes time to clean/prep/heat up - even if I only want to steam one or two garments. Not any more though! This wonderful little steamer (it's about the size of a french press coffee pot) from a known quality brand in Black and Decker is easy to use, easy to store, easy to clean - EASY all around. And it heats up fast and produces a solid jet of steam that really gets into the garments you're trying to steam. Simply unpack it, pour in some water (I recommend distilled - as does the manufacturer - to get the best life from the steamer/prevent build up), plug it in and you're off. Give it a minute or two to warm up and it produces consistent steam. When you're finished, unplug and let it cool then simply dump any remaining water and wipe it off - EASY. Sure, the opening for steam isn't as wide as my older steamer and it holds less water - but frankly that means I can get into smaller spaces and I rarely used all the water anyhow, so I either wasted it or it sat unused. This steamer is more than enough for the general home use - which is my use case - and I'm super happy with it. IF you're looking for something for a professional tailor or in a retail store, sure bigger is better - but at home, this little steamer is perfect. So if you're looking to get more life out of your clothes and cut your dry cleaning bill, give this steamer a try today! ... show more

This unit is super easy to use. It has a small water basin, so the whole unit stays lightweight even when filled. The water heats up very quickly (less than a minute) and you can get through 1-2 garments per water fill. This quickly removes all wrinkles for various materials. I absolutely love how well this worked on everything I tried it on. This even helped me finally remove a stick-on handheld shower head holder that I have been trying to unstick for almost a year. The cord is nice and long, but does not get tangled. The base of the steamer will get hot after prolonged use, but not scorching. I did take away 1 star because there is no auto-shut off feature on this unit and I feel like that should be standard when the water runs out. ... show more

This is a very easy to use garment steamer with a smaller water reservoir, but very long (8-foot) power cord. After adding water (I put in 4 ounces; it appears to have a maximum capacity of 6 or 7 ounces), I turned it on and it was ready to go in about 70 seconds. Steam comes out at a moderate rather than forceful rate, probably for safety. It took out a wrinkle on a shirt in seconds following their recommendations, using a considerable amount of the water in the reservoir. Black+Decker comes with a nice 2-year warranty and a simple to understand manual. It appears to be very well made, is portable enough to travel with, and we are happy with it. ... show more
