nice small microwave. no problems disabling the child lock. i do have an issue with the size. my last microwave was .7 cu ft and this one is .9, yet it is smaller. i should have had a bit more room. i do miss the larger turntable. this one is also a bit more powerful than my older one, yet i feel it is less powerful. ... show more

    • Nice small microwave
This works as intended, and once I disabled the child-proof door lock, I can actually open the door which out swearing. Just kidding, it’s not that bad, but they have multiple signs on how to open the door for a reason. We don’t have children in our home, so I disabled that part.

My huge 12 yr old Cuisinart microwave finally quit working. I really needed a smaller one and had specific measurements to adhere to. We do use it daily and it really is not the quality I expected from Black and Decker. The open button is surely going to break, but at $117.00 you get what you pay for. Ease of use is great and for what we need it works fine. Love the turn table. It is also a bit loud when in use. Design is nice and super easy to program. Quite loud when in use.     • LOUDLY rumbles while in-use. Also, door unlock steps are irritating.
It is LOUD if you are sensitive to your neighbors. Sounds like an airplane as it rumbles while in-use. The Child Safety Lock on door is INFURIATING. You have to press two buttons in a special sequence to open the microwave. I didn't realize this was a Child Safety microwave. I'm thinking about returning this microwave. ... show more

It’s only been a week. Setting up the clock very easy. Disabling the child lock, very easy. I have no children here. Heats just as desired. It’s quieter than my old one, thank goodness! Looks good. Will wait and see how it holds up in time.
