This toaster works great! Almost too good, the toaster really toasts (recommend going a shade lighter than what you want). Easy to use knobs temps seem to be accurate. I've made corn dog, frozen taquitos, bagels, and blueberry bread (toast) so far and it cooks them perfectly as per directions on boxes, with the exception of the toast getting a bit darker than I like. Now for the cons, the timer tiks super loud and it's not easy to turn off or cancel. Also the door is very nerve racking to open as it is extra lightweight and almost flies right out of my grip and hits the counter top. Maybe I'll find a wood slab to elevate it. Over all so worth the money! So far so good!

This is exactly what I want from a toaster oven. It's smaller than most microwaves, but big enough that I can toast the meat and cheese on two sandwiches at the same time, or make a whole box of cheesy pretzel bites! My primary use of this is for reheating pizza, or pizza bites, as it results in a firmer outside (no squishy crust here, but it's not burning the heck out of your food either) and better taste of the toppings. I went with this model, because unlike similar Toaster Ovens, this only has TWO knobs -- Heat, and time. I had another toaster oven that had the additional 'cook type' knob (with toast, bake, broil, etc.) and it always was in the wrong position. The heat shield on the top and bottom coils gives a wonderfully even heat, so you don't end up with a scorched middle and lukewarm edge (Opposite problem of a microwave!) The tray stores under the wire rack, so you don't end up with another tray getting lost somewhere in a cupboard, box, or drawer. I personally line the tray with foil, for quicker cleanup, but in case a mess does occur, there is a removable crumb tray (No, it's not a cookie sheet) that fits perfectly in the bottom.

Black & Decker: Please bring back the old style toaster oven with the darkness setting independent of the lever that you press to toast. Okay. This model isn’t horrible but you have to watch your toast since the dial to set darkness is very imprecise. It also toasts much darker on the bottom - the side you can’t see. The rack is much too low for even toasting, presumably in order to allow larger items to be baked. This problem could be eliminated by adding a second groove to set the rack into. It would be a simple fix since the rack does not pull out with the door on this model anyway.

I was very suprised on how light the box was.. it was packaged very well.. although it is boxed with pictures on the box that the item in the box is a black & decker toaster oven..( so if u order keep a look out.. so no one takes it if left in a apt bldg hallway...The oven itself is pretty sharp looking..& takes up very little room.. I plugged it in to see if it all worked..( and it did.. glad I got it.. as I live in a very small space .. & don’t really want to turn oven on in the heat of the summer...so this little oven helps to keep heat in my apt at a minimum in the summer months. ..P.S. and for the price ...( I feel I got an excellent deal..

We purchased this unit after our old one just aged out. I do like the looks of it. It heats things up very quickly so you really have to pay attention. It seems to run hotter than expected which I don't mind. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase. If I could change anything I would say the pan inside is a little small and the control knobs are a little confusing at first until you use them and get used to how they operate.

This product is lightweight and portable. I had initially bought it for my office, but with this whole COVID-19 chaos, it never made it to the office so I set it up in my kitchen. The controls really are easy, and I love how I can now toast bagels and larger sizes of toast without it getting stuck in the toaster. I washed the toaster rack before use though, and since the tray is lined with such thin metal bars, I easily popped one of those bars, hence the 1-star deduction. Otherwise, I have no complaints.

Replaced an LD b&d model. New model has quartz heating elements and a substantially lever cooking area. The roasting control were confusing but you only need to turn the dial to toast setting you want and can disregard the instruction to turn past 15 minutes. Have used for about one month at this writing.

This product works great in our office of 8 - it gets used for breakfast beagles and lunch burritos :-) The only problem we had was someone turned the timer too far and it does not work properly now. But you can still heat food if you watch.
