I originally purchased this sander for some refinishing work however it saved the day when a foundational piece to some new furniture I was building was too long. The sander is powerful yet refined and i was able to delicately sand down the wrong sized piece to fit. I have been pleased with the battery life from this line of batteries for my weed whacker and drill. I needed an orbital sander and a new battery. The price of this was not much more than what a new battery and charger would be. So, I bought this one. It is convenient not having a cord. But, the battery just doesn't last long enough on a charge to fit my purpose. Fortunately, I have more batteries in this line. If you have a small surface you are working on that doesn't need a lot of sanding at one time, I think it is a good buy. Or, if you need a new battery and charger for a different tool, this is a good choice.

Jumping into the DIY stuff, I saw this and bought it. You can do a lot with it. You can do even more, for longer with an extra battery. Nothing bad to say. Just know it will not last as long an electric sander. The most I had gotten was around 20-25 minutes of full use, before it started to die out. Depending on your needs this could be awesome, or just something to have around for quick jobs.

I have always been a huge fan of Black and Decker power tools and this sander is another example of their products. The convenience and versatility of Cordless tools speaks for it's self. This sander fits nicely in your hands and feels fairly robust. I just finished building a new work bench and purchased this sander to put the final touches on it prior to staining and finishing. Only time will be the judge on it's longevity. A great purchasae and very satisfied.

This tool is easy to operate and easily gets into tight corners without cord restriction. Dust collection bag though definitely needs serious improvements

This is a good value, but requires some hand strength. On any horizontal surface,you just let the unit do the work, but not so on a vertical. Only used it a couple of times so hope it has lasting abilities. It's great to cut the cord.
