Another lighting fixture with a 'universal' mounting plate that doesn't actually fit standard US electrical boxes. I've attached photos showing the mounting bracket in its location and two circles showing all the holes are at one of two distances from the center - not what I'd call universal. This replaced a fixture with the 'cross' type mounting bracket, which crucially has radially-adjustable slots (supporting different mounting radii). So you may have to get creative with your mounting bracket. The fixture itself is fine, smaller than I expected. Detailed measurements are posted in the description, but a few of the product photos in-situ make it look larger than it actually is - significantly smaller than the 'bubble' light it replaced. The product info says '60W Max' bulb, but the base of the unit itself has a sticker that says "E26 Max 40W" - might want to err on the lower listed range there, which isn't a problem if you're using an LED bulb. ... show more

The base could be bigger as updating fixtures that previously had larger bases leaves unmatched paint. Other than that the fixture is quite easily installed. With only one bulb the clear glass will let it shine just as much as any other 2 bulb flush fixtures. Works great and looks great. Would love to see more of these designs to keep the trend going, the simplicity of clear glass and black colored bases. Love it. ... show more

Nice lamp, easy to install since its pretty much a standard white/black/ground cable setup so if you've ever installed a light or any simple electrical item, you will be fine with this one. Once I received the lamp I realized it was smaller than what I expected but that was probably my fault for not looking at all of the specifications on the product's page. On a whim I needed to update our paint with fresh paint and new light. This one is perfect for what I wanted to go with. It really adds a nice little touch than the light it was built with. It’s very easy install, my husband had it installed in just a few minutes. It seems sturdy enough, however it did come with a few Knicks around the rim. They are noticeable enough to warrant 4 stars. My walk in closet had very little light with a small globe light fixture. This light fixture is very nice and will accommodate a 40 watt incandescent light bulb. I plan to use a LED bulb. LED lights produce far less heat per lumen than incandescent bulbs. I Love the Open Design and the Clear Glass. It was a straight forward simple / typical home light fixture installation. I really like the simplicity of this fixture and also that the globe is open which makes placing the bulb easy and keeps bugs from settling in it. It was a little archaic from an instillation standpoint but overall a solid fixture.
