This is a bit small, but will go great on my mom's deck. Since it was a Mother's Day gift, I wasn't going to open the box, but I'm glad I did. I guess I assumed it would come with the salt you need to put in the small bowl, but it DOES NOT. Not that big of a deal, but I will have to make an extra trip to the store before giving the gift. Also, it DOES NOT come with directions. Yet again, another step to go back to Amazon to figure out what to do and type out some directions for my mom before giving the gift. A bit disappointing in that way.

I have a small butterfly garden that attracts butterflies all the time. Not once have I seen them land on the puddler. I’ve tried all manner of combinations of mineral, sugar, and soil and nothing seems to work. It’s a pretty decorative rock, but that’s about it.

Pretty, but the water receptacle is too small. Paint peeling within a couple of weeks. I would look for a bigger size.
