Features

  • Our polyresin hand painted puddling stone is a beautiful way to create your own mineral puddle to attract beautiful butterflies to your garden.
  • The recessed blue well holds sand or rock salt and a teaspoon of water. When the water evaporates (in under a day), butterflies are attracted to the crystal mixture left behind.
  • Once they know where they can find the delicious treat, they return regularly.
  • Placing pieces of overripe fruit on the stone is another way to attract butterflies.
  • Complements any sunny garden area. Measures 9-3/8" x 5-1/4" x 1/2".

    • Cute, but no directions!
This is a bit small, but will go great on my mom's deck. Since it was a Mother's Day gift, I wasn't going to open the box, but I'm glad I did. I guess I assumed it would come with the salt you need to put in the small bowl, but it DOES NOT. Not that big of a deal, but I will have to make an extra trip to the store before giving the gift. Also, it DOES NOT come with directions. Yet again, another step to go back to Amazon to figure out what to do and type out some directions for my mom before giving the gift. A bit disappointing in that way. ... show more

Cute size! It sits easily on the table by patio pots full of Butterfly attracting flowers. Heavy enough the wind doesn’t blow it around

    • Pretty in the garden, but does not work as it is described.
I have a small butterfly garden that attracts butterflies all the time. Not once have I seen them land on the puddler. I’ve tried all manner of combinations of mineral, sugar, and soil and nothing seems to work. It’s a pretty decorative rock, but that’s about it.

    • Water receptacle should be larger
Pretty, but the water receptacle is too small. Paint peeling within a couple of weeks. I would look for a bigger size.
